This is my favorite couple that's ever been featured in a movie. They both started as friends and never had any contempt for each other or big misunderstandings.They both cared for each other and wanted to see one another succeed. There was a sense of ease whenever they were together, which is how every healthy relationship is. Plus beautiful acting by Kate Winslet and Jack Black. Eli Wallach was fantastic in this movie as well.

I will say that I was surprised at how convincing Jude Law was as a good father. I realise he has 7 kids but being able to have them doesn't make you a good father; but maybe he is. I guess you never really know

Jack Black is sooo NOT hot at all. He is the reason I refused to see this movie for a long time. When I finally did, I didn't root for Iris and Miles to get together. But I loved the story of Graham and Amanda and also the story line about Arthur Abbott. Over all a good movie, but Jack Black is not a likeable romantic protagonist.
