American Pie would have largely just been another throw away raunchy teen comedy if it didn't have the sequels. I graduated High School in 1999, the same year as the characters, but like I feel such nostalgia for these films like no other movies from the past. My own highschool friend groups was somewhat similar. A couple of us (of which I was) were computer and comic book geeks, a couple normies, a couple punk rockers and the literal varsity football quarterback (but he was not at all like Stifler, he always was a genuinely good guy). At 42 now I only still regularly hang out with one of them, and most of them I haven't talked to in well over a decade. We're like the last men standing from that group while everyone went their separate ways. These movies just give me such nostalgia for that time. I'm not one of these people that is like "High School was the best time in my life". I'm successful, have a masters degree I'm married make great money have done plenty of awesome things, but even then my life didn't go at all how I thought it would when I was in highschool and part of me will always wonder about the road not taken...when I was young and could afford the risk. I generally played my life safe. I don't regret personal relationships like my wife or anything like that. Career wise there is a giant what if. I originally wanted to go to art school. I still am an amateur artist and have done some things on the side commercially. Part of me just wonders what if I just went all in on that when I was young. Instead of opting for the safe bet. I like my career okay, but would love if I could be doing art for a living. Anyway, long rant, these movies just put me back in that time and place when my whole life was ahead of me and the road not taken could still be taken.

Showed them why they always relied on him for the good times in high school and their young adult years and then called them out when they accused him of being a bad friend to Finch. One of my favorite things about Reunion is how we finally saw an emotional, human side of Stifler.

There are some good themes in this: I have a funny relationship with Stifler I feel like, because he's clearly a "peaked in high school" type (one of my least favorite types of people), but he brings so much humor to the movie I can't be mad. The guys call him out on this, and he acknowledges it. But they also acknowledge that people like him made high school more enjoyable, and it's important to be grateful for people like that. And they all walk away as closer friends and having learned something.

This show perfectly summed up the end of an era. The late 1990s and 2000s were a special time to grow up - and American Pie was the series of movies that largely defined an entire generation of Americans, in addition to a select handful of other shows. Sadly today, these jokes would NEVER fly, the humor would never pass censorship, and the vulgarity wouldn't fly. But the way American Pie did it was just so honest, relatalble and wholesome. Easily one of the best movie series to come out of the late 90s and 2000s

Man so hard to deal with the fact that the REUNION movie is now 11 years old. If we are honest with ourselves, most of us would admit we will always carry a torch for those golden years of our youth when we were immortal and invincible and the future was whatever we wanted it to be. When our best friends were our brothers and we thought it would never end. And then life happened, and it did. We may be content with how things have turned out, but these movies really make you realize how precious those past glory days are, especially since you can never go back.

i remember back in 2010 i randomly watched the original because i was bored and didn't even intend to watch what I thought at the time was nothing more than a time sink. My god was I wrong i absolutely loved the original I immediately went on a binge and watched every single one spent about 4 whole days watching them. Easily the best comedy movies ever. I'm now 27 and these movies will forever have a special place in my memories of when I was a high school teen.

This movie came out a couple weeks before I was about to Graduate College. At the same time, my 5th High School Reunion was coming up before I Graduated. During my 4 1/2 years of college I had a hard time accepting that I was officially out of High School, because I loved it so much.
