when you said you prepared something special for the siege of rome, i really hoped that you were secretly upgrading one of the city to urban barracks to show off urban cohorts, but as soon as i saw 14 units of dogs, i literally bursted into laughter, you jon, you are a magnificent bastards and i salute you. by the way, there is 52 handlers in a 192 dog unit, so (192-52)*14=1960, there were 1960 dogs in there, charging at 160 legionaries, those guys must be really confused and horrified at the same time

Lentulus Maxentius was a true Roman! Once he saw that the battle couldn't be won, he called a full retreat, but he knew Julianus the Killer would pursue his men with cavalry. And so, in order to save his army, he ran within inches of the Brutii formation to distract the enemy archers and force Julianus to pursue him instead of his men.

A fitting finale to one of the most enthralling lets plays I have ever seen, your historical insight has been educational and has actually inspired me to pick up Roman based combat in Dagorhir, and reading up on Roman history in general. Speaking of him, where's he went, he stopped his speeches about 15 parts ago, and we've only heard that he had a cold, which probably only lasts a couple weeks.

Oh I loved this series (and I'm excited to watch the Epilogue)! It's been a few years since I last played this (though I never finished it as I kept restarting) but I loved the nostalgia it brought and the tricks you taught us. Just noticed, in the first battle, he didn't lose a single cavalrymen when they destroyed the senate's cavalry, then he loses 14 fighting the siege engineers, are roman engineers better fighters than their cavalry?

Both Julianus and Gnaeus had eagerly anticipated the day Marcus would be executed by Brutii steel. This day had finally come... Marcus could see the duo approaching. Both were instantly recognisable. Julianus - from his glistening bald head. Gnaeus - from his angelic spaghetti like hair. Marcus trembled in fear as the famous duo stood in front of him. Marcus: Err... hello? Julianus: Ah yes, Marcus. We meet at last... Marcus: I renounce all that I have said! Please have mercy on my ugly mug! Gnaeus: **Pulls up toga revealing his goods** Marcus: What's that, an acorn? Gnaeus: **Unleashes a waterfall of pee upon the face of Marcus** Marcus: EWW! GOD, THAT'S GROSS... STOP! Julianus: He's wanted to do that for a long time. Now, time to answer for your crimes. **Reveals sword** Marcus squealed like a disgruntled parrot. As he pleaded for his life. Marcus: WAIT! I tried getting my own Julianus while I was assaulting the only guarded city of the Thracians during my war with the Gauls. He flipping bum-rushed some calvary and died when he got stuck on some of his own units. At the same time my hemophiliac leader Herius Trajinus has taken 4 Gallic cities with himself at the front. I love this game.

I really enjoyed you play this campaign. Maybe for another series I would love to watch- unlocking SPQR faction in game menues and going for total victory, its a lot more challenging playing as Rome, it takes many turns to build an army and the civil war starts very quickly because there's no technical "senate"
