Apollo, Vigiles was a troup of city guards that normally take care also of the fire alarm, as a matter of fact the city police today in italian cities is called Vigili Urbani.

About the rules: Syrian Archers were limeted to two per player and no age inappropriate units which was the only rule which was broken because one of the players didnt knew. It was still alot of fun. Just that no one thinks ill of the roman players.

You could just pretend that they were a unit of elite guard, considering it is the city of Rome they are defending. At least most of the units fit the theme and rules, looks like a fun battle!

if the Carthaginian ally did not loss two units outside the city and if the Roman opponent did not unknowingly broke the rules. it would be very very close. even with that happened it was very fun to watch a new city in a themed battles. thank u Appollo :)

Cool video as always! Although I think it's rather unfair to restrict the Romans to age appropriate units, taking away their really strong infantry and EXCELLENT archers and at the same time allowing yourself to bring a max of 6 cretan archers, arguably the strongest missile unit in the game.

Super cool battle, i like how the attackers also had to play defense in one battle, and it felt natural and was fairly effective. Hella dope💪🏼🤙🏼

Great battle with good players on both sides! Grinding it out with Principes in the streets of Rome is always gonna be a tough call for Carthaginians! Let alone the Wrong-Era Evocati Cohors and Syrian archers cheesing the battle a little bit

if you got like elephants it's really usefull to have your gen with the second wind ability, when elephants are tired, they don't rest fast

if archers are limited, why are tortoises not limited? hate the fact that walls have no defensive value. with one hit a stick on top of a pile of wood knocks down huge stone walls

maybe but why do tortoises take out walls so easily? there are so many of them and makes defending up to 6 breeches very difficult. wouldn't it be nice to see infantry actually defend walls for a while like in real life ssieges?@@ihatesovietderp2268
