Too bad I found your channel just now... I'm a roman born and bred and I like your way of enjoying my city 🥰 I hope you'll have the chance to come back and discover other parts of Rome you didn't have the chance to this time.❤

Hi there… I’m planning on going in October and was just going to do a regular hotel. But then I saw your Airbnb and totally fell in love. I see you linked it but it just opens up to the Airbnb site. Can you please give me the specifics on the one you stayed in please. Want to see if it’s available on the week I’m trying to reserve. Great vlog by the way.. loved al, the places you went especially for food.😀

Thank you for sharing this video. You're very lovely to watch. Though I need to ask what bag did you use for this trip? Have you tried using a duffle bag for your travel? I recommend using the Bento Bag from Nomad Lane.

I took a carry-on suitcase (www.awaytravel.com/uk/en/suitcases/carry-on?color=navy) and my Longchamp pliage bag. Hope that helps :) I prefer using a bag with wheels as duffles when travelling on planes and taxis etc can be a bit cumbersome.

Thank you for sharing; any bad experiences with pickpockets?
@Gemtakesfoodpics2 жыл бұрын
We actually didn't have any bad experiences with pickpockets, but did have quite a few people come up to us on the street trying to sell us things. They come up very close to you and try to talk to you and put whatever they are selling into your hands or drop them on the floor so you pick them up. I would say, keep your bag close to you, and use one with a zipper if you can, and just try to avoid these people selling things who walk up to you and you should be fine :)

Hey, I really enjoyed your video! My girlfriend and I are planning a trip to Italy and will be in Rome in the beginning of June. We were actually considering staying at the Hoxton, however we were concerned about the location and maybe being too far from everything. What did you think of the location? What was the average cost of Ubers from the hotel to Romes main attractions?

Hi Andrew, so exciting you're going out to Rome - I hope you guys love it! We loved the Hoxton, but you're right in that it definitely is a bit further out away from the main attractions and not in quick walking distance. We enjoyed being in The Hoxton for our first and last night as it meant no fuss before and after flying as we could relax straight away and felt very taken care of there. Plus our favourite restaurant from the whole trip is just around the corner from the hotel so was a great meal to kick off and finish our trip with. The hotel restaurant (and their cocktail list) is also incredible so would definitely recommend. If I was going for another short trip, it's a great spot, but depending how long you are there for, an Airbnb may be a good option to consider. The Airbnb was nice for the days we wanted to be in the middle of the tourist attractions, etc and allowed for us to cater for certain meals ourselves (breakfast and sometimes snacks or late lunch when the restaurants were closed -- most good restaurants in Rome close between 3pm-7pm everyday). The Ubers to and from the hotel to the main attractions/main train station are about 10-12€ each way, and to be honest, every Uber we got was super nice (think Mercedes, well kept cars and large people movers). Hope that helps and let me know if you have any other questions! :)

We went in February, it was quite nice during the day, lots of sunshine but in the evening it did get chilly. It's a gorgeous time to visit though, much less busy and still sunshine!

Hi Julien, I paid for this trip out of my own pocket, with money earned from my job. It's quite an affordable city, too. If you have any other questions about Rome or the trip, let me know!
