Hi! I had a thought about your Guest bathroom vanity. Since you're doing wood floor and the vanity has wooden legs, it might be a good idea to add some brass foot protectors to them so that when you clean the floor you're not risking getting the vanity legs wet or mouldy underneath 😇🥰 Hope this helps

You can take it to a Louis Vuitton store and they will send it off to be restored. It's not that much and it will be done by Louis Vuitton so it's all legit. Took my cousin's vintage speedy I got her to be restored and they replaced all the leather bindings, authenticated, and cleaned her bag for $100.

It’s a vintage Sac Plat. Would recommend at least getting a repair quote from Louis Vuitton directly, I’ve had it done and it wasn’t super expensive. They send it to France and then you’d also have proof it’s authentic. She’s gorgeous!!!

The pillow covers are called matelasse. It is french weaving or stitching technique to look quilted. I have this on two beds and they are comfortable to sleep under because they are cotton.

I noticed from yesterdays post that there is only one light above the sink in the guest bathroom placed above the sink. A single light above a sink casts a light directly down on you in an unflattering way. Usually it's better to have one on each side for the best and most flattering light. I know there isn't a lot of room on the left side though. I love your project, it is so awesome to see your passion and how your skills have grown!

I always believed in repurposing and upcycling but never tried too hard to actually transform stuff! But you have inspired me to try it actually. Happy to say that I’m in the process of transforming my old Erktop sofa into an outdoor sofa by replacing the particle board with wood thus utilizing the seating frame which is in good condition. I love the picture with the tear McCenna, you can fix it wood filler and rub and buff for the frame and a little piece of canvas on the back over the tear. Your mum could match the colour and stiple on some paint to disguise the damage. Your haul was fantastic and your mum is the best. BTW Rudyard Kipling wrote the Jungle Book 😁

You should look into wood epoxy putty for fixing the molding on that frame. I used it to fix the molding (a large chunk had been gashed out) on a window at my mum's house and once it's painted, you would never know.

If you get the bag restored at a Louis Vuitton store you can resell for a great price like 600$ or more versus getting the work done at an unauthorized leather shop that would drop your resell value drastically. It might be worth your time and price to restore through Louis Vuitton, carry the bag for a few years then resell with a nice profit toward the next luxury bag you want. Just a thought.
