It's crazy how things can get lost in translation sometimes, but when yoel says "It's time to party" it's an expression normally use in spanish just to refer a moment of great joy, or even like a blessing. Romero’s translator at the weigh-in was terrible! Romero said he feels blessed and he’s been waiting for this moment and will do what he needs to do. Yoel oddly did not say “thanks to god” this time. The translator knows it sounds like something Yoel would say so he ran with it. Never trust UFC fighters translators cause they are off most the time

@@ebowden1168 like i said. I know nick would lose. I would just like to see the different styles go at it. Im talking the footwork, the angles that are used, if Whittaker initiates the takedown would he try to pass and hit or would he stay in the guard n work from there...would we see some punch slipping, hand catching and parrying nicks punches since nick is a boxer. We dont see the parry get used cuz everyone else mixes it up. From a martial artist stand point we get curious about those things

@@ebowden1168 also would robert cut off really wide to work leg kicks in. With nicks stance its easy to cut that angle and work some good leg kicks. Would nick look to counter? He's usually good at keeping pressure and cage control but with the way Robert moves...i dunno if that would be possible

@davidng8870 how.... you can't give Romero rounds 1, 2 and 4
@davidng88709 ай бұрын
@@thenedsmmachannel8970 imo sure AF you can give him round 4. The criteria is damage, it is not at all unusual for a fighter to win round even if the other guy hits him more because his strikes were more powerful. That is what happened imo. He had by far the most damaging strike when he made Rob stumble around like a newborn lamb. To me that is worse than a flash knockdown because sometimes that can be ambiguous (eg an element of slippage) but with that sort of reaction there is no doubt he was badly hurt. The rest of his strikes were more damaging too, head shots vs front leg body and leg kicks (side and front kicks) for the most part. There was another punch after the bambi blow that hurt him and he bloodied him as well. Incidentally the live broadcast had the sig strikes in that round as 15 to 40, but the official ufc stats, when they looked at it more carefully presumably, has it 20 to 34 which is a lesser discrepancy. This may well have contributed to the impression that R4 is a clear Rob round
@thenedsmmachannel89709 ай бұрын
@davidng8870 you can't give him R4 based on damage.... Rob literally did all the damage for 4:40 or the round and outlanded 14 significant strikes over Romero. Also Rob mostly slipped than actually getting rocked. R5 is clear 10-8. A draw is the perfect decision. Also at the time IL did not implement the new rules yet, this fight took place in 2018 so damage doesn't come into consideration due to not being the main scoring criteria for that time
