How is the google profiting from one-liner sock puppets making comments? Plus more offensive ads! Maybe depoliticizing America's legal system would help? So: "A nonpartisan Justice may compel two recusals by junior partisan Justices." How about that idea?

I wonder if it's because with the first child we tend to focus on everythign and spend lots of time making sure every little thing is done just right and by the time the second one is about it's just trying to hold it all together and all the discipline goes out the window😅

Couples should have 1 child or none. Humans are destroying the ecosystem. Yeah I know it's comedy and I'm laughing too but there's truth in my comment.
@samuellawrencesbookclub8250
@samuellawrencesbookclub8250 Жыл бұрын
You think humans destroying the ecosystem, but can you begin to imagine the horrors that our extinction would bring about? Because that's what you're suggesting, a one child policy which slowly kills us all off, as births cannot keep up with deaths. Any species going extinct has a knock--on effect on the ecosystem, but if you get rid of humans, you don't lose just lose humans, you also lose every species which relies on us. This includes every animal, and plant that we have bred, and altered, for our purposes; most of the plants we have domesticated are grown from cuttings, their seeds are sterile, without human intervention, a lot plant life goes extinct, the sheep, cows and chickens on our farms, bred to yield wool, milk, and egg way beyond what they naturally should, without humans to intervene each of these creatures will suffer a painful death. And species which dies will have a knock-on effect on every other species And that's just scratching the surface, what do you think will happen to all the weapons? With no humans to keep an eye things, no human to stop or contain any disaster. The world would be on a knife-edge, with bombs, and nukes ready to go, and wipe everything out, if a single random accident should happen. Add in a bunch of increasingly unstable nuclear power stations, a world without humans to intervene will make Chernobyl look like a picnic. The fact of the matter is this, as much as humans ruin the ecosystem, the world we have made - and we can't unmake it - relies on us. Humans have taken control of every aspect of the world, taken control away from nature and all natural processes, to the point that, without human intervention, very little can happen. We run the world, and the world runs on us, without us it cannot continue.

@221b-Maker-Street Жыл бұрын
As an only child of elderly parents, let me tell you it's utterly shit. Everyone needs a sibling to share the responsibility when they get they old and need us more. It's not the _number_ of humans that are destroying the ecosystem; it's the way many of us are continuing to _abuse_ the planet. That's about attitude, not volume.
@warren52nz
@warren52nz Жыл бұрын
@@221b-Maker-Street Of course HOW we use the resources is a big issue but it wouldn't be an issue if the Earth wasn't overrun by humans who are fueled by GREED. You say 2 is better than 1 but I say ZERO is better than 1. Try to think of anything threatening the ecosystem that wouldn't be less threatening if there weren't so many of us. I've got an electric car; what are you doing to avoid runaway global warming?
@complexcarbivorous8013
@complexcarbivorous8013 Жыл бұрын
@@warren52nz Sorry to burst your eco bubble, but driving an electric car is just marketing for imperialist/capitalist plunder by the 1% types like Elon 'we will coup whoever we want' Musk. Use public transport and eat strictly plant based. Both highly populated China and India had a much lower carbon footprint than the West due to their eco-friendly lifestyle.
@complexcarbivorous8013
@complexcarbivorous8013 Жыл бұрын
@@samuellawrencesbookclub8250 Anthropocentrism and misanthropy are both unnecessary and extreme opposite views/beliefs that lead us nowhere. Anthropocentrism is living in denial that people are not harmful to the environment or that without us, the planet dies. Earth will go on with or without us and the greatest threat to human population and other species are humans. Domestic animals are an anthropocentric creation, to serve people at the expense of other species, both wild and domesticated, and you're delusional to think animals want us to be cruel and abuse them for our selfish pleasure and greed. It's just a feel good co-pout like most man made religion. The introduction of domestic animals in the Americas and other parts of the world wiped out wildlife, both flora and fauna and spread pollution, at the point that we have plastic in our bloodstream.

I agree to an extent but for me, it depends on the comedian; somehow it’s more palatable from some i.e. Romesh, Sarah Millican - it’s just seems part of the comedy than gratuitous. On the other hand, my favourite comedian, Bill Bailey, hardly ever swears.
@221b-Maker-Street
@221b-Maker-Street Жыл бұрын
Swearing is a sign of higher intelligence, Sabine! It's used to great effect in Britain, and Romesh is an exemplar of the form. If you don't like his swearing, then - as it's part of him, and who he is - may I suggest that you don't _really_ like him. I'm still baffled as to why people find swearing so offensive anyway. It's just a group of words used as intensifiers - they don't intrinsically harm anyone.
@sabinelandau2330
@sabinelandau2330 Жыл бұрын
@@221b-Maker-Street I must have very low intelligence, lol. I do live in Britain but I still believe you can be funny without swearing. And I DO like him, especially as he is a Tamil like my husband. I agree that these words don't harm anyone, but perhaps I am a bit older now, having grown up without the need of swear words and I find it sad that it has become acceptable, the norm even.
