This is the album for me which underoath proved that there not just a one genre band. These guys flexed their creative musicality in the album so well and it really shined.. Start to finish theres not a bad moment

Damn I love this album, it's my favorite album of all-time, pretty much ever since release and at the time I could never have imagined a better follow-up to _Define the Great Line,_ but they exceeded any expectations I could have had, and _LITSOS_ has only gotten better over the years. Don't get me wrong, I still absolutely love _Define.._ it's my #2, but there's no topping this one, imo. I still remember going to their '08 headliner at the Tempe Marquee they did to support this album, such a killer lineup too: the opener was this sick death metal or deathcore band that I think was from Texas, and then Saosin & The Devil Wears Prada played too.

2005: Underoath runs over Grant’s computer with Chris’s car. 2008: The band rigs a laptop to explode. 2020: The band shoots an iMac into space via missile launch.

Aaron Gillespie at 32:00 says "we are not and we never will be a radio band" yet their most recent album Erase Me, with songs like Rapture, Wake Me, and iHateit, makes it the most commercial/corporate radio album I've ever heard from Underoath. Ironic isn't it? LOL

Musicians mature, and change taste. They probably felt they could sell more albums, and tickets with a new sound. Metalcore as a genre is no where near to what it was. You use to see tons of bands on the billboard 200. Now there's maybe one. Also most of the bands have to change to stay relevant because the fans have aged and angsty screaming sounds aren't relatable to them. That's just my thought.

A lot of people shitting on them for changing as a band & having a little more of a “radio sound” now. It’s over 10 years later & they’ve all grown & changed. That isn’t selling out, it’s growing & ever changing with life. I personally do miss this sound though.

I was sceptical (not sceptical like I’m gonna hate it but there’s no way it can be better and some parts that I heard I was like eh idk but not the case) of the album when it came out cause I loved define the great line and I might love this album as a whole more. Not might I do for sure. I think it’s a better version of define. I have not entirely been a fan of everything else afterwards tho.
