We have a 1953 Ford Jubilee back at my parent's house. It's got over 2000 hours on it, And it still runs wonderfully. I love that old tractor.

That's a great Tractor. I use to bush hog My Grandfather's pasture with one of those when I was a kid. I really like those machines.

Love those old ford tractors! I learned how to drive on an old ford 9n tractor in a big field in Nova Scotia while visiting family. Great memories!

Beautiful machine. We had a 1964 Massey Ferguson on the golf course I used to work at and you'd have to start it by by-passing the ignition. The only way to by-pass the ignition was to stand in front of the rear tire and reach behind the firewall. We had a few scares with that one with all the students we hired that never listened to a simple instruction. We also towed a 5 reel gang behind it to cut rough....getting chopped up by those would hurt

@chox2001 God what an awesome tractor!! My dad had a '53 Golden Jubilee, I grew up on that thing, blowing snow (homemade snow blower dad built), pulling fire wood in the winter. Froze my ASS off on it many times. But hearing that fine old tractor just brings back so many memories, what a beautiful sound!!

i have a ford 850, similar to the jubilee, and when youre in the highest gear, in your case 4, and going slow at "300rpm" you will get terrible fuel efficiency compared to being in 3rd gear with it wide open you will get excellent gph because it aint straining the engine as much, its like gears in a bicycle. its a money saver! -The850Channel

That is not the oringinal hours on that Ford Jubilee... unless it was restored 10 hours ago... Very nice !! Looks and runs like new.

I will have my hands on one in about two weeks giving 700 for it it needs lots of work but she works and she runs. the guy only wanted the money back in it he put in. Cant wait to get it so I can use it. and if I have the time I love to restore it back to its formal glory.

Oh My God! You ARE lucky to be alive! That kind of accident has killed many a farmer! Why do people attempt to bypass these tractors anyhow? It doesn't offer any performance advantages, and it can cause an accident just like yours, only with far more tragic results.

They are often bypassed because they “fixed” a broken starter switch with what was easy to obtain or on hand…a generic starter switch. I agree it’s asking for it.

well they started in 1947 so its around there. IDK how to tell the exact year when I bought it I was told it was a 1946. The Ford 2N eventually evolved into the Ford 8N, which officially started it's production in 1947 and was produced through 1952

alot o tractors. feel like nutreal. then when u crank em over trans gets oil pressure and then its in gear(felt like nutreal), nevor start a tractor from the ground. we had a fellow killed here last week ran over when starting

My friend has a 53 "golden" jubilee, looks just like this one. Whats the difference?

Not really anything different about it, just the name. The 1953 "Golden jubilee" was so named because of the 50th anniversary of the founding of Ford.

i have the same one but in not as pretty as yours but 3500 hrs not to bad for 1953 and that butten is by pasted on mine but there is a butten so it not going to run me over

thats a great tractor is it yours, I have a place where I can sneak up to bunnys within 20ft I hope to make a video of it soon. Its good to see people paying their respects to their mom maybe some people work late and have to rush there at closing time.

so that is a ford, looked like my dad's old massey fergeson and it's built like my neighbors with the gas tank on top of the motor too not good. gas tank boils the gas when it gets hot, wow you were lucky my grandfather had one of those old International Farmall tractor with the tipped in front wheels that flipped over on him and killed him.

at a country fair. looking across road and 200 feet into field i said look that guy is leaving tractor running while he doing something between the wheel and set of big dics. dam fool i told her. and as i spoke he started to pull himself up on tractor. ...it jumped foward . run over him...BUT THEN THE DISCS WENT OVER HIM TOO. have you ever seen a hotdog come out of a meat tenderizer? How is the push button wired?

+rc pilot It grounds the starter solenoid, like the start position on a car key switch. The key on these tractors should not have a start position, only off and run.
