He's truly pathetic. He likes to think of himself as a misunderstood creative person even though he has 0 creativity. Seriously one of the least creative people I've ever known. But that's how he rationalizes to himself why no one respects him and his complete inability to enter romantic relationships. He really thinks listening to rock and roll bands makes him too edgy for normal people. That's his other go to excuse. The one thing he claims to have any passion for (besides shitty rock and roll) is photography, and he's been awful at that. It's almost comical how bad his pictures are.

@Charles Speers i completely agree. I think Earl went through most of his life being told by white people how eloquent and well-spoken he was (which is actually just white-person code for "you don't sound like other black people.") So he went through life thinking his verbose, nonsensical blathering made him sound intelligent.. lmao, it's always so shocking to Earl when Ron or Fez call him out for his incompetence because white people have never actually held him accountable for anything in his entire life
