Ron Fleming talks about the crash at Bugorama #87 (Slo-mo crash footage)

What a horrible crash! It was a frightening moment when we saw Ron Fleming driving the Hunsaker Racing race car losing control at the finish line with top speed, and crashing into the guardrail so hard. Thank god, that all modern features kept him safe and protected.
Three days later, Ron stopped by our office and shared a story about his crash.

WOW that was one of the biggest crashes I have seen at full speed too. Amazing to see he walked away virtually unscathed. The fact that it hit the wall backwards was probably a good thing.... the engine took the brunt.

Actually Ron isn't doing that well he's had some head issues since that accident he doesn't even drive anymore his regular car

Been reading about and loving drag bugs since the late 70's. They are just cool! But have to say, there's nothing about the body shape, weight distribution or rear suspension that was ever meant to go beyond 60 mph. Am so glad that Ron is here to talk about it.

Marbles..... car didn't move either side it was going straight before turning right into the wall on the other side.

It may look that way from the camera view but let me tell you from working in the waterbox I watched every bit of that pass and it moved around quite a bit before it went right.
