Hahaha I was the same age! Rap was just breaking (So to speak lol) into in the mainstream and in my region was only played on a couple different public radio stations once or twice a week. 30 days by Run DMC was another one they played a lot. And various Ice T, Grandmasters flash and Melle Mel, Afrika Bambaataa, and especially Newcleus. ❤ We watched Breakin' and Beat Street over and over.

Once a year our middle school used to do "Putting on the Hits" where kids would lip sync songs, and me and a buddy did this one in 5th grade. I literally haven't heard this since the 80s, but parts of it always reemerged in my head at weird times throughout the years. ("B-b-b-b-bedtime for Bonzo")
