Great documentary! Very interesting and insightful to unknown history the public needs to know.

This film, while interesting, is rife with errors. At one point, one of the narrators states that no one would hire Reagan in the early fifties until he got the job at GE Theatre. This is not for example, a true statement. He was with Warner Bros until 1952 and then was immediately signed to Universal at 75K per picture, which was big $ at the time. It is true that his film roles diminished as the 50's moved onwards to the early 60's but to say he was not able to be employed as an actor at any time is pure bunk. Also, while he may not have been a great actor, in terms of emotional range, his films did not really call for this and he was certainly at least a good actor as you do not stick around Hollywood for 25 years plus without some talent. He was a leading man at the Warner Bros,, one of the top if not top film studio in America for many years and not a bit part actor. Lastly, If you look at his critical reviews of his performances in films before politics would try to revise their assessment of him as an actor, they were generally solid.

Lew Wasserman at Universal purchased Reagan that's why Universal signed him when his career was failing. They hooked him up with a new wife the throat goat and gave him a TV gig at GE it was all part of the plan.

@@Paul-vf2wl He also made movies at MGM, Colombia and RKO Pictures during the mid to late 50's as a freelancer and most of them turned a box office profit. He was with GE Theater for 8 years and appeared as not only the host but the lead in more episodes by far than any other actor, and they had the best actors appear on the show. Hollywood was changing in the 50's as the studio system was breaking down. Even greats like Bette Davis and many others were working on TV to supplement their incomes.

I enjoyed this documentary! But, I don’t think RR was any more “corrupt” than other presidents. There’s also the allegations that the mob helped JFK get elected. So definitely not the first president to be linked to non influence. Enjoyed this documentary though. Very informational. I recently finished three days in Moscow by Brett Baier. RR was a fascinating individual.

Something to tarnish St Ronald’s halo: audiotapes from the Nixon Library, including a conversation Governor Reagan had with President Nixon. The topic was a UN General Assembly vote in 1971, to replace Taiwan with mainland China. Reagan expressed his dismay by stating that cheerful African delegates were “dancing around like monkeys,” and wondering whether they even wore shoes! Not surprisingly, Nixon enjoyed a good laugh! Classy, huh?

Check out President Reagan visits Cingress Heights elementary school . The President is very interested in little well bahaved black boys and girls getting a good education !

I was investigating something unrelated (MCA mob ties) and I wouldn't have looked for Reagan's connections to the mob(I wasn't aware of any) if it hadn't been for him halting investigations in MCA for no discernable reason as I can find so far. I am still researching however and in the future I may find a perfectly legal reason for him having done this.

It is a rough and tumble world in business and politics and the two are often mixed together. If you want to get anywhere near power, there are those people you have to associate with who bring it right up to the edge. However, if you have read and researched extensively on RR over his entire and quite consequential life and not just his Presidency, from all perspectives and of those who knew him, he comes off as a very decent and honorable man.

Ok. I listen to this but nothing is real conclusive. Was Regan connected with the mob? Not super sure but based on this and that it would appear so. So many times in my life I would assume things just to find out that there's more to it then what meets the eye. In other words I was wrong although at the moment I thought I had come to the right conclusion. Later I would find out I was off base and didn't know certain things that would then draw a different out come. So I think these gentlemen are grasping for straws in a effort to demoralize Regan and the conservative sect. Seems to have become a regular thing these days. The reality of it all is that no one's perfect and we all have made mistakes in our lives and yes even liberals. Why don't we look at the whole picture from both sides? Well, that wouldn't make this video very interesting now would it. Nope. Nice try guys but I'm not buying it.

Being has a tendency to 'return' to clusters ='the nature of solidarity' -a desire for empathy -(Wave)-(yin) and also, Being has a tendency to 'exist' as individuals ='the nature of self-expension' -a desire for breed-(Particle)-(Yang) Likewise, humans have two elements. We must realize that we all have both left and right elements =Solidarity and Self reliance No one has only one element. so 'Sum' derived from 'two poles' , (thesis, antithesis, synthesis) To develop intellect and ethics by harmonizing the two, It is good to realize it and balance it properly But A few people polarized the crowd(political partisanship) without balancing themselves. And They stole only the sum, only the synthesis from the triangle composition. Now We all have to get out of this deceptive situation. This is not the time for us to hate each other. We have to track down those who have been manipulating us.
