When President Reagan was rushed to George Washington University Hospital after the assassination attempt and was operated on, he had a brief stay of a few days. My Mom was a cancer patient there at the same time. Reagan received countless flower arrangements wishing him a speedy recovery. He sent them on to other patients, with a hand written note that he had composed and written himself and signed, wishing them well. I believe the proper leftwing narrative is that Bush caused the crash with his deregulation not Reagan, unless your talking about some other small recession. In reality however, the housing bubble that was created by Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA loans that came in under Clinton is what caused the 08 crash, not deregulation. And he ruined the country?! Yeah its been completely ruined since the 80s. Thats hilarious. You, my simple little friend, are a dumb little liberal puppet that believes whatever nonsense some wackos are telling you.

Reagan ran for president campaigning that he’d eliminate the national debt and would remove the departments of education and energy. Yes, you read that right. The debt had come to 800 billion in 200 years. Before he had left it had more than doubled. His plan was to eliminate unnecessary programs and spending. Welfare? He gave a famous speech citing the Chinese proverb “if you give a man a fish, he’ll eat for a day. If you teach a man to fish, he’ll eat for the rest of his life” Then he cut both welfare and education. Government health programs? Slash. He continued doing this until anything that remotely benefited the common man had been ruined. Then he proceeded to spend many times more than what he removed on military. Ludicrous projects like spending billions renovating obsolete WWII battleships that had no purpose and are being dismantled as we speak. He was an actor and the American people loved it.

A once in a generation President. In my opinion, America's last truly great President. Rest in peace President Reagan. It was on honor growing up in the 80's under this man's administration. The 1980's is the greatest decade in US history for so many reasons but mostly because of this man.

Another 80s kid here. Reagan is one of the many reasons that decade was spectacular. The USA was back on its feet and patriotism was running high. I miss those days. We sure could use him now.
@susanstamboulian646 Жыл бұрын
@@northwards2218 Could we ever! Biden is so horrible. Democrats are so evil now. I'd love to see Trump just kick the crap out of him in 2024, but the SWAMP just isn't going to allow him to be president again, unless he wins in a Reagan type landslide that would overcome any amount of cheating. Unfortunately, those big blue states are so locked in now, you could literally put the corpse of Bin Laden on the ballot with a (D) behind his name, and California, New York, Illinois, New Jersey, Michigan and probably Pennsylvania would line up in droves to vote for him. If Fetterman got elected in Pennsylvania, the state is what it's always been to the GOP since 88. Fool's Gold.
