My perception of R10 during this time was confused. Admittedly I didn’t watch Serie A to see all these lovely clips, which were before the time of compilations on KZbin / Twitter. But he did amazing things in the Champions League before Milan’s old squad was eliminated. Dunga didn’t pick him in the World Cup squad made me think Dinho was finished but actually Dunga made a mistake. What he did in the Copa Libertadores did not warrant his exemption from the 2014 World Cup either.

This is just not an accurate picture of those teams at that time. I followed Milan very closely at around 2010 and Ronaldinho only showed glimpses of what he used to do. He wasn't even a regular starter. And that 2010 Brazil team was perfect and favourites to win it except for the fact that their left back lost his head against Arjen Robben.

Closest thing to his prime in Barcellona. After that 2006 world cup he got depressed and would only show glimpses of what he could really do. But that 2009-2010 version at ac Milan was a dinho who wanted to a spot at the wc so he did anything in his power to do so and that's what he gave us, basically his second prime or the first comeback. His Milan version wasn't as good as Mineiro version in 2012 or 2013. That Mineiro was somehow on par with his past Barca version but still in 2010 he did better than psg 2002
