In 17/18, he played 30 games. 18/19 he played 28 games. 19/20 he played 27 games in a shorter season. 20/21, Neymar was the one who carried PSG in the group stages whist Mbappe was stinking it up. He was also better in both legs against Bayern in that same year. Neymar outperformed Mbappe in 22/23 until the injury against Lille lol.

100% with Hp and Lyes on Neymar vs Mbappe : up until exactly 2021/2022 Neymar was the main guy, he was the one to watch out for and the one to put hopes on. 2017/2018 he was incredible and against Real Madrid no body had more responsibility for the teamthan him, 2018/2019 when he was injured, Di Maria carried the team against Man U and Mbappe was helping, I genuinely believe that they would have defeated Man U if Neymar had played, in the Covid season Neymar was unbelievable and the main reason for reaching the final (he would have even won the Fifa best player award , if he´d won the CL) and in the last season Mbappe started getting more crucial goals like against Bayern, but Neymar was the motor of the team and was creating left , right and center with amazing performances, Mbappe was like a good striker who finishes chances and gets more goals while Neymar runs everything else, then (and only then) Messi came, Neymar had less responsibilities and Mbappe got the new contract with all the club power that he shouldn´t get by the way. If Neymar hadn´t got injured that much, we would not talk this big on Mbappe at all or disrespect one of the top 3 players in our generation

Neymar in his last season at Barca and his first season at PSG, in terms of ability, reached a level very very close to prime Messi. In terms of technical ability, Neymar and Ronaldinho are equals. But Neymar's output is FAR superior. He's literally Brazil's all time leading scorer and assist provider, while playing primarily as a playmaker. Ahead of players like R9, Pele, Zico. Let’s be realistic it was neymars team 17-18, Mbappé took over 18-19 with 33 goals while neymar was injured for most of the season. 19-20 mbappe was amazing but neymar was the main reason we got to the final even though against Atalanta he should have been more clinical and mbappe was fully fit until the final. 20-21 was mbappes team let’s not forget how mbappe destroyed Barcelona and Bayern in both first legs and then got injured and couldn’t play the second leg against Man City in the semi final. 21-22 mbappe was the one with 27 goals and 17 assists and carried us against Real Madrid(who ended up winning it) both legs even though we lost and what was neymar doing? 22-23 was messi- mbappe Neymar trio until the World Cup that ruined the synergy of the team and against Bayern mbappe only played last 10 minutes of the first leg and second leg Neymar wasn’t even there.

I am going to be honest, as long as Neymar was on that team, it was always going to be his team. Everyone knew he was the superior player. Hell, even when Messi joined, when Neymar wasn't there the team looked more like Messi's team since than Mbappe because the teams offence flowed right through both or either of them when fit. As great as Mbappe is he massively benefitted scoring wise playing along side Messi and Neymar. I believe if Neymar played in an era that never had Ronaldo or Messi he’d have won the ballon d’ or, and if had played in the era of R9, Rivaldo and Ronaldinho he’d have won a world cup easily. He can still go to European club (one of serie a clubs probably) and if he impresses there (which he has done for every club except al hilal) he could get a contract to play for a big club and boom, neymar back in Europe playing in the champions league.
