Fantastic. Thank you. My surgeon told me about this before my surgery, and we did the opposite of a modern Western diet for the week before surgery. I did a high fiber/low fat diet. I did the bowel prep the day before, and late that night did the antibiotics. When he was describing all this to me and discussing the bad bacteria in your gut, I was really impressed that he knew the latest research and had adopted it into his practice. (My surgery was Sept, 2024.)

I've had bowel since 2017. Basildon Hospital Essex UK. 15 months later stoma reversed. Cancer came back after stoma reversed. Since then I've had and still got this Anastomosis Leak. That's it.
