That series showed the difference a true point guard can make when running an offense the way it's supposed to be ran... Bulls are also seeing this happen to them again over the past couple years with the inconsistent play they've had since Lonzo got hurt.

Anyone else remember how weird that season was for Chicago? I think it was 2016-2017. They went from starting rondo, to have him barely playing off the bench or not using him at all and then to really using him late season and playoffs. What a disorganized mess Chicago was that year. They kinda just threw some pieces together with no plan.

This was when Fred "the boy" Hoiberg was coaching my bulls. No one had respect for him, as a coach or as a man. In a pathetic attempt of authority, he significantly cut Rondo's minutes in the regular season for 'lack of effort'. In the playoffs Rondo proved that he's a better coach and still an impactfull player. Bulls might not win that series even if he does play, but his impact was undeniable in those first 2 games...
