I wish Estelle Bennett could have performed with Ronnie and Nedra this night. She comes out at the end for her last bow. I read Estelle was so happy this night being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Estelles' life unfortunately took a turn a few years after the Ronettes broke up, which she did not deserve, but mental health can come at any of us when we least expect it. Estelle was such a kind-hearted woman. May God continue to bless her soul. She died in 2011 4 years after their induction. She was found alone in her apartment a few days after she had passed. That's no way someone like her should have died. We will never forget Estelle Bennett of the Ronettes. A kind-hearted soul.❤

Yes, Ronnie is an icon, now I must say that her memory remains as an icon, with only a few hits in the past (how many? 5?) she had a long career performing & also sporadically recording, with no chart success other than her 1987 duet with Eddie Money, which is actually a strong cameo appearence rather than a duet. Even though she has preserved the status of icon during decades, her story is unique

The young woman on the left of he screen is Estelle's daughter. As some idiot commented on the video where Romnie was doing the talking (he said how Estelle 'did t need a script...'), Estelle was suffering from mental illness. She'd had a very difficult time after The Ronettes, including being homeless. She was - considered by Ronnie & Nedra - to be the 'creative' one, but, also, the.most delicate. The fact that she was here is a miracle enough. If you know the story of how much work was done to prep her for this. Estelle passed away shortly after receiving is honour - an honour so richly deserved. R.I.P. , Estelle Bennett. The music of The Ronettes will go on. Thank you!
