R.I.P.,Roni-i just learned of her death here-i played music at the Hee-Haw theater in Branson in1981 and 1982 with her.She was one of the nicest people ever. She told me a story about when she got hired at the Hee-Haw TV show-she told Sam Lovullo, the producer, that she could finally afford to get that space in her front teeth fixed, and he told her if she got her teeth fixed, she would be fired!!!I notice from this video, she finally got that space fixed!!!Love you,Roni!!!

Hated to lose her. A big void in the music world. She had always been there. She had played for almost 80 years. She was 85 when she passed. RIP Ms Roni Stoneman. We will meet again.

Tom, Thanks so much for sharing this. One of my fondest memories from The Old Fiddler's Convention at Galax was at Camp Cigar when Roni stood up and played _House of the Rising Sun,_ and then you and Roni told the story about recording that with her sisters. I will forever regret not having my video camera rolling.

A fine video and performance! I see that the posting date was the day Roni Stoneman died, 2/22/24. But in your description, you have February 2, 2024. Surely this was not recorded this year when she was 85, was it? If not, what year is it? Thank you for sharing it.

I fixed the date. Thank you. It was recorded in 2022
