As a former Green Beret, I had to learn throughout the process of my career how to prep my rifle to my mission and operational environment. During this process, I had to revisit the fundamentals and tactics that I was taught as a young soldier. Hear my life experiences and understand the mindset and strategy behind how I set up my rifle for combat.
Instructor: Tu Lam (Retired U.S. Army Special Forces- Green Beret)--23 Years Full Spectrum Warfare, U.S. Army Special Operations worked throughout 27 countries worldwide. Team-Leader assignments in Unconventional Warfare, Foreign Internal Defense, Special Reconnaissance, Hostage Rescue, Direct Action and Counter-Terrorism Operations in permissive and non-permissive environments. Composite Special Forces team training and development team leader.

The way this guy holds his forehand grips is awesome. I hope when using operator foregrip (the shortest one) you get to hold your weapon the way ronin does. And places the operator foregrip a little bit more to the front like his carbine. As for the 2 other grips, the placement and holding is fine for me. Yeah im so after aesthetics of the gun in cod than the stats haha

What's interesting though is how often people with extensive combat experience have conflicting ideas of what works best. Whether it's what kind of foregrip, and where to place it, or how long to extend your stock, or clearing techniques, etc... one Green Beret will be saying something one day, a SEALs] says something different the next, a Ranger contradicts both of them, and then a SWAT officer has an entirely different opinion. From what I've learned, just do what works best for you. Spend a lot of time with your weapon so you can get comfortable with it, and buy lots of ammo to train with.

6:55 One of the biggest takeaways from training BJJ for me and why it helps me with just about everything else is that it teaches you that everything boils down to two things. Those two things are concepts and techniques. Technique being the "what you do," and concepts being the "why you do them." I can't think of anything that you could possibly want to get better at where the application of those two things aren't the key to progress.

As I watched and listened I said to my self Heck yes point by point and thank God it's how I been training and practicing. As an old guy only capable of home guard it means I just gotta work harder to be smarter, know the ranges, where is cover, maximize my defensive positions, know when to move up/move back, hit exactly where I point that carbine. I may never be the warfighter this man is but I will make dang sure they know I'm there.

@Dirk Hunter In the army they don't like when you ask "why", you're supposed to follow orders. Up onto special op of officier rank, ask why behind the curtain, not in the face of an officier or higher rank than you are. Question things without doing it in a direct manner, and the smart officiers will notice. But you're supposed not to ask why at all about anything in infantry.
