2 brilliant shots stand out for me like. The pot on the blue with running side to come in and out of balk, missing the colours and splitting the pack, when it looked like the opportunity had gone, when Alan Mc called it. The other, zipping the white between the reds near the end of the clearance, epitome of cue ball control. The fellas a genius. How many times we said that over the years? Even Fu could do nothing but appreciate and applaud man. Lucky to have Ronnie in our generation. GOAT.

Ronnie OSullivan, by far the greatest snooker player in history... to think what he could have won if he had tried his best in every tournament and had actually loved the game at all times, a born entertainer and how fitting that the world record attendance for a snooker match in this part of the world had the main man and Marco Fu, like a movie! My favourite players growing up were always Jimmy White and Alex Higgins, the whirlwind and the hurricane and Ronnie not only emulated them but exceeded them. A true icon of the game... a rock n roll snooker player like the good ole days... The Rocket!

Semi final against Robertson and the final were deemed not important enough to replace cycling and motor racing on both eurosport channels. This is a regular thing now where tournaments are shown live all week and the most important games, semis and final, are shown as highlights after the match is over in favour of bloody cycling. Why bother eurosport?

This is a masterclass but shows that even the GOAT suffers and you can see his coping mechanisms. I'm not sure whether it's nerves or doubt is setting in or just adrenalin. At 2:44 Ronnie doesn't like the shot, to delay and regain composure he asks for the ball to be cleaned and takes a long walk round the table. At 2:57 he decides to chalk the cue whilst walking to distract from thoughts and to try to regain focus, you can see he also drops his head, he then chalks his tip properly just before the shot. At 3:03 he does something that is very rare for Ronnie and clicks his heels, most probably something he does as a process when he's struggling and you will notice it a little later in the frame. Also, if you watch his footwork throughout the frame it's not his normal behaviour less flowing and more mechanical. Take a look from 7:05 which also includes a heel click. Welcome your thoughts.....
