This match still hurts as a Marco Fu fan... He played brilliantly in the tournaments afterwards, blitzed everyone in Scotland (11 centuries in the whole tournament I think), then went on to Finals in Players Championship and Semi in the Grand Prix, but surely a player at his class could win one of the triple crowns - it's just the case of what could have been...

That last frame from ronnie there , showed his class, unfortunate to marco for the chances he had in frame 10 to clinch frame and match. Glad for Marco fu reaching the Scottish open final and winning the stephen hendrys trophy the following event , also a great performance leading to the masters 2017 where he faced ronnie but ronnie change his tip in the mid session interval break to win 6-4 Another great performance from fu in reaching the 2017 players championship, narrowly losing out to judd trump . That season Marco fu was very consistent 😊

I must be misunderstood bc I thought you could only make someone replay a shot if they aren’t snookered but fail to hit target ball. I seem to remember this match. Marco Fu had been to a UK final before losing to Shaun Murphy in a deciding frame. You may recall a fluke by the 2005 world champion. Anyway, Marco reached the world championship semi finals that year and nearly sent Ronnie O'Sullivan packing. I guess the latter got out of jail and that century break in the decider sums up the player he is.

The cue ball sometimes has bad contact causing the object ball to jump or drift. It is caused presumably due to chalk particles; however, it never happens in American pool.

I think Marco fu is a bit under rated but he is a world class player and more than capable of being a world champion as we can see here putting Ronnie under pressure, but this can also bring out Ronnie’s best game.

I like marco fu but i do find myself thinking of when he touched a red with his finger in that sf of the worlds and didnt own up to it. Im not really judging him we all do things sometimes we should probably not. Sometimes i remember id say a lie and feel weird about afterwards and even think why did i even lie and not just admit whatever it was i was at fault or something like that. Sometimes in the moment we dont think clear?... dunno thinking out loud really
