It's great that we are all in the era of the greatest player ever. Maybe someone will come along and win more than Ronnie but I doubt the public will love him the way they love Ronnie. It's like the beatles, it wasn't just about the music - it's fantastic music but it's also the time they were big - they had things going for them that were completely out of their control. Same thing with Ronnie osullivan. He came just at the right time, when snooker was coasting on the success of the eighties. He also has that personality.

The ROCKET, the WHIRLWIND, the HURRICANE. Three names that are immortalised in snooker history. Steve "interesting" Davis and Stephen Hendry are two other Legends of snooker that will go down in history as being the best in there respective snooker era's. There are many great players in the modern game, Higgins, Selby, Trump, Williams, Murphy, Robertson, etc, but none of them including Hendry (very close 2ND) and Davis (solid 3RD) can match the achievements of THE G.O.A.T the Rocket Ronnie "O" Sullivan, this is an indisputable FACT. Like Alex Higgins before him, Ronnie is a bona-fide Genius. 7 World titles and counting.

Well said graeme dott ronnie could easily have overtaken hendrys 8 world titles. Its point blank obvious ronnie is the greatest snooker player to have ever picked up a snooker cue and show the world on tv what can be done. At his best he plays a game, shots that nobody else could never ever do. He is a genius of the game and i believe ronnie still doesnt know how phenominal he actually is.

O'Sullivan may have won more ranking events, had more maxis and more century breaks BUT Hendry has won 7 WSC's to O'Sullivan's 6 thus making him the GOAT.. Compare the Masters to Sheffield for instance. 144 of the best players in the world have a chance of winning the WSC every year whereas only the top 16 are allowed in the Masters. Plus it is more grueling with longer matches with the two semis and the final each taking two days. It is the true test of the best player in the world for a given year and not the streakiest or the luckiest player. That makes Hendry the GOAT.. Now if O'Sullivan wins ONE more WSC then he will be the GOAT because he will have the same WSC's but more ranking event titles. And I'm sure Ronnie would agree with me here on all this. He says he doesn't pay any heed to such things and it doesn't make any difference to him but really and truly he wants to be known as the GOAT and that means winning one more WSC.. And I for one hope he does it. He will have my respect as the GOAT then but until then Hendry is still the GOAT..

Honestly I have no desire to argue about this, quite frankly because I don't even care about any other snooker player, but I do want you to take this into consideration. If Ronnie had the same winning mentality as Hendry, Ronnie would've smashed these world titles and prolly had double figures. This is exactly why Hendry says Ronnie is better. Ronnie lost matches based on mentality, not on ability.
