Ye, I think he's still on the fairy dust. If he had of left that and the booze alone on the 90s, he would have had a share of the spoils from Hendry of World titles and the other two biggies, but he still keeps spouting that hes one of the greatest. Unfortunaely he didn't lift enough trophies to be able to label himself that. Too deluded, and I was a big fan of his thru the 80s and 90s, now he is laughable. I can say that legitimately as I followed him for long enough.

Years ago I wasn't a fan of Ronnie's, not because of him, but John Virgo almost worshipped him & constantly said Ronnie is the greatest, he is now, but it was too early to say back then. My favourite part of this whole montage was Jimmy narrating it from not only a knowledgeable pundit’s POV, but also a massive Ronnie fan’s POV! ☺️ I loved what he had to say throughout & love hearing Jim’s stories of yesteryear as much as I love hearing him commentating on today’s game. Ronnie’s mad genius potting skills at JUST the right time got him to scrape by this time, but how long can he keep doing it? Either way, I’m overjoyed at his deserved win, and I’m the only one who keeps saying it: NOBODY in the game plays the MONSTER shots he plays, at the MOST CRUCIAL MOMENTS when it matters most, like he does. His long potting continues to astound & amaze. Roll back the tape Selby fans and prove me wrong: Mark gets in 9/10 times by easy 2 foot short straight in reds, and only 1/10 times with a brave, long red. Ronnie is the COMPLETE OPPOSITE: 9/10 times he gets in with IMPOSSIBLY LONG, blistering reds, sometimes out of nowhere, while baffling the commentators who didn’t even see the pot on. Ronnie is AS BRAVE as he is talented. All other players WAIT FOR OPPONENTS MISTAKES! Two of my snooker heroes, love them both. They used to do exhibition's together back in the early nineties, after the exhibition Ronnie will remain on the table practicing and Jimmy will be in the clubs the bars wherever there is fun, Jimmy is there.

Second session he concentrated, knuckled down and got on with it - and he won the session 7-1. Carter was shaking like an addict going though withdrawal at the end. Ronnie is different class. It's like comparing Man City with Preston North End.
