I love how he said he's just sitting here doing nothing, not missing the game at all, and then 3 months later he won his sixth world title. Not caring seems to be Ronnie's super power.

@@jamesgoing4527, till date did ronnie win 7th or 8th world title yet? It's been 28th year for ronnie! Even ronnie he himself said every top player or most of the top player has a time frame of 10 years than u start declining, if u put it that way about hendry, then that makes no sense, till date did ding win any world title yet? John still stick to 4 worlds, just simply imagine this ok, if PETER EDON could win even one world in yr so called Era, how strong is truly the 2000 Era?? Peter was in hendrys Era. Trust me friend, if hendry was still prime in the 2000era, I would say hendry would still hv won 5 worlds. Note hendry almost won his last 8 worlds in the 2000era onwards.

I've looked at so many silly comments and the odd intelligent question so here you go for the last time folks...... I know snooker period Ronnie is a genius so anything is possible he's reinventing his game every year and still playing 🙏to date he's won 19 majors 36 ranking titles the most premier leagues the most centuries and 147s keeping hendry Higgins Williams Selby robbo ding and trump to name but a few at bay entertaining us for decades keeping snooker afloat in the most competitive era ever keeping sponsors happy and viewing figures up all on his own terms never been a slave to the game or politically perfect.... THIS IS CALLED ATTENTION TO DETAIL 🤔like I said before he can take 9 months off come back and win the masters he can win the world's in 2012 take a year off coming back to defend his title in 2013 not loseing a session in the final to a prime Hawkins he has lost 9 years of his career partying due to the lack of discipline and appetite imo and yet he's still racking up these numbers......... He owns the shanghai masters and although he's not the holder of the champ of champs he owns that aswell then only last year he beat judd and robbo 2 win the inaugural coral series returning to world number 1 at 43 so anything is possible his aura and presence is unique nobody like him everything he does makes headlines his longevity is legendary........His main rival over the years has been himself his head to head between any of his rivals are all in Ronnie's favour only matched by the pretender to the throne in judd trump who to date has 3 majors that's 1 triple crown at 30 years of age...... Yes hendry was a machine but your career is not defined by 1 tournament in a weak era with poor opposition and your main rival been a pissed up Jimmy White.... Yes Trump has potential but to date it's still untapped fully he is a great shot maker like Jimmy and Alex but only plays these famous shots when frames are won and if he plays them in play it's because his cue ball as in the white ball is poor unlike Ronnie's who has it on a string 👌Ronnie has a few years left in him he will let you know when he's done so let's just enjoy him whilst we can folks he's the greatest numbers figures and facts don't lie🙏🙏he's done all this with mental health issues family problems and drama mostly in 3rd gear 😇 LEGEND

Should Steven Lee be part of the class of 92? Many believe he could have been O'Sullivan's greatest rival. Probably the greatest cue action the games ever seen. In some ways was as talented as O'Sullivan, Higgins, Williams. Some of his shots was unbelievable. He would have won more money playimg snooker the irony. Is a story there In itself.
@Deadeye1967
@Deadeye1967 4 жыл бұрын
He was 38 when banned, no spring chicken, if he wasn't his rival at 38 doubt he would've found the consistency to become that. He won five ranking titles between 1998 and 2006 and no more up until his ban in 2013, results suggest he'd already peaked. To me he had the cue action but not the snooker brain.

Agree Hendry was the best player in 90s. Obviously. But I think Davis lost his game. Because there was people from the 80s performing better than Davis in the 90s. Lot of them didn't necessarily improve by loads. Davis has to look back on back and think what went Wrong. Because he came back 97? And won a major. In 2005 he got two and major final? Showing that he was better than those players. Makes no sense... Today's game. I get why people say that about Judd. Because Sean Murphy, Niel Robertson I think there's a couple of others? But I'll use them. They came through won the title everybody expected better things. especially Sean available came onto the scene the same way Judd trump did... Camera thing that a player comes through with the title then nothing... It's yet to be seen. Only Selby has lived up to the expectations.

@@jamesgoing4527 How? Jimmy White got to multiple world finals. John Parrott won the world in 90s. Davis was wiping the floor with them in the 80s.. They wasn't better than David man. Even Ray Reardon in his mid 40s won an event in the 1990. But there's an argument that Ray Reardon in his prime was better than Davis lol. Reardon most consistent player of all winning events until he retired Davis lost his game simple as that. A bit like Mark Williams who came back to win the World. Davis came back to win the masters in 97. Still showing he was better player most in the 90s really underperformed. Said it himselfhe started to get intimidated by younger players.

@@jamesgoing4527 I remember Davis in the 90s and he was not the same player. HIs demeanor was all different. He was getting knocked out in first rounds in some competitions. Yet he won the masters in 1997 16 of the world's best players? And Yet John Parrott wins the world? just going by if you watch Jimmy White vs Alex Higgins in the 1982 wouldn't say he improved by much. I have no doubt Stephen Hendry would have won his seven world titles regardless because he was a better player Davis Stephen Hendry one of the greatest players of all time no argument. But Davis should have been his biggest rival not Jimmy White. That's all I'm saying. Selby has a game plan to win Messy. But I'm starting to think people have found it out now. And kind of know what to expect from him. He can still win tournaments but people are more prepared for his game now. I kind of think Mark Selby and Shaun Murphy, Neil Robertson different players but similar standard. Shaun Murphy keeps beating Judd Trump kind of his bogey player. The most underachiever is definitely Mark Williams though.
