Everyone who was there sorta relived Dad singing that beautiful song. Smiling, looking a bit wistful, and we KNOW they were so pleased that the great talent was passed on to Ronnie. So sweet, lovely.

Amazing... I remember hearing the two of them sing that song together, about 40 years ago. Treasured memories, and delightful voices.

There's only two father-son team that I know of that sounds exactly almost like next to you Robbins and Twitty. We as fans are very lucky to have sons that will carry on for their Dad's for years to come.

I had a really good friend who was a retired Border Patrolman who loved this song. His patrol sector included El Paso and the border of New Mexico and Mexico. The bad lands of New Mexico...Well done Compa, well done.

My father was also a retired Border Patrolman. He was stationed for years in El Centro, California, Phoenix and Casa Grande, Arizona when I was a kid. I remember us visiting one of his former co-workers who had been transferred to El Paso. My father had a good voice and loved to sing Marty Robbins gunfighter ballads, especially on cross-country drives. He especially liked "Utah Carol," which would drive my mother kind of crazy because she thought it was so depressing. She was also from Cleveland and didn't really relate to country music. Lol.

I'm old and remember his Dad very well. No matter. Ronnie is just as good, if not better, than Marty. I hope Ronnie owns his own talents and goes on to establish his own identity. It is well deserved - go Ronnie!
