Hey Ronnie So a few months ago, when I was in the woods with my family, just having a walk (I was practicing my parkour :P) until my mum saw a lump of dirt that mountain bikers used to bike jump off. She said something like, "jump off that!" So I did... The landing was OK, but when I took the next step, because I still had so much momentum and I wasn't used to rolling instinctively (it was also pretty lumpy and rocky there so...), I sprained my ankle. I heard a *crack* and I then knew what had happened - My ankle almost SNAPPED. Because we were walking in the woods up a hill, it would have been pretty hard to just carry me down, so instead, my mum sent my three younger siblings to ask our grandparents for help - in other words, to bring the *wheel barrow* . Mum and my older sister, Rebekah told me to put my arms over their shoulders and we would go down to the small road that led to our grandparents' house. Eventually, we got there and so did the crew with the wheelbarrow. Rebekah and mum helped me in to the barrow and pushed me back to the house. When we got back, they helped me into the house and seated me. I could *barely* even limp or hop. Grandma and mum then took me to A&E, they checked my ankle there; did an x-ray, etc., and we went back home. Dad got back home by then, but my ankle still wasn't any better (duh...). Anyways, the point is that I still don't trust my knees and ankles when it comes to landings, jumps, rolls and things like that. I'm afraid I'm going to damage my legs and, even worse, *sprain* (if not worse..) my ankle again. Can you give me some advice for strengthening my lower body? By the way, I'm doing calisthenics, so I'm familiar to things like lunges etc. I've watched your video when you had a sprained ankle (that was when mine was still hurt too! XD) and it was very inspiring. This is ALL a *real* story CONGRATULATIONS IF YOU READ THE WHOLE THING AND THANK YOU!!

Question! So I've been practicing some simple falls (front, back, side) and am still feeling some of the impact in my neck and head. I'm not hitting either just feeling it there. Even from a kneeling position, and mostly with side falls. Am I doing something wrong? Or just something to get used to? Too much shoulder maybe? Help!

That is that thing, that in reality, most times if someone is shot by a bullet, it will be in and out or in before you realize it, and it won't spin you. They used to really play up the shot reactions, I remember one a cop doing a type of jig before he fell. In a movie.

Awesome you guys are training this but from what I seen you guys do not smack the ground enough to “break fall” hard enough or roll out the kinetic energy properly. The header needs more work with hips up and wider spread in feet while smaking the ground, the say uchi or I think you guys called it “side flip fall” this is a very common fall for throws and wrist locks when you land you need to land on the side of the lay with the arm at 45 degrees snaking the ground the same side leg straight out to roll the kinetic energy and the opposite leg bent back behind the help cushion the fall. I suggest to start watching and studying how Judo artists break fall as they can attack the ground with good form and no injuries. After you learn judo falls then you can get creative with your falls but until then make sure you have judo falls down tight and move into more advanced stuff. Keep it up though guys 🙏🏼🙌🏼😊
