*@Mrfixit* At least Boyd got the same from Clapton, dumping her for an even more fuckable fake blonde. It seemed George couldn't care less , became even more best friends with Clapton because he released him from this dolled up airhead , which he himself was too decent to walk away from ......and went for a partner with an actual brain, which he (becoming more introspective) longed for . Bonus on top of this ...Boyd couldn't sue him for palimony..... That's not to say George was this holy mystic , his second wife Olivia admitted they had an open marriage and allowed him to have his countless liasons ......

yyeeessss...i agree...and also those layered background vocals -truly genius by these guys. the way they just thicken up the chorus - its so strong and it just brings all the emotion of the song forward, like a big rush( i don't knoooow, i don't know) just amazing work. another piece written by george i could not stop playing over and over literally is long long long off the white album. the chorus in that one just kills me every time i hear it, the mood of the whole song is so over the top. a must listen cover of this is by stanley samuelsen... two acoustics gtrs and female vocal.....one time late nite i got really really sauced, and i swear it was the repeat button over and over and over...for hours and hours! thats just the way i get when i hear a piece that just takes me. another was "mirrior of illusion" by hawkwind , and " for emily, where ever i may find her" by simon and garfunkel off of the greatest hits album(live version). my god, that last one is such and emotional ride for me..the connection between arts voice and simons guitar is over the top, just a masterpiece of the highest grandeur. brings me to tears.long long long also.

I understand from an interview of James Taylor by Mark Maron that James and Peter Gordon had met in London. Peter took James to audition for Paul and George in pursuit of a contract with the Apple label. (James recalled that he and Peter walked into the Abbey Rd studio, and Peter called out, “Are there any Beatles here?” Fortunately, there were). One of James’ audition numbers was his “Something “ that began with the same line as George’s later version. The former like titled songs made James’ Apple label album. Maron asked Taylor what he thought of George’s borrowing the line, to which he replied that it was fine as lines and instrumentation got borrowed frequently. He remained appropriately appreciative.

George will always be my favourite musician/ Beatle. As far as his taste in birds....he defo out of the 4 had the best taste. His women are/ were realistically beautiful.

Clapton was her biggest regret. He was her downfall. And she always loved George. Her face lights up at the sound of his name.
