Why dont you "constitutionalists" ever being up Article 1 Section 8 which states that Congress can only support an army for TWO years?! What about the VA and WV and many other state constitutions that say explicitly that standing armies are dangerous to liberty and shall be avoided and that all authority over the military shall reside in the peiple alone?!
@freedomordeath4597Күн бұрын
Because they love their little order followers… They’re afraid of TRUE freedom and can’t imagine a world where they don’t abdicate their personal responsibility to protect themselves and their communities. They’re statists dude, what do you expect?

Article 1 section 8 gives congress power "To raise and support Armies, but no appropriation of money to that use shall be for a longer term than two years." A plain reading of the text suggests that the only limitation is on appropriations lasting longer than two years. There is no limit on re-appropriations, so that would be a strike against your interpretation. The fact that we at no point, ever had no standing army, even when the Founders could easily have made it so.

@@mr.brenman2132 Article 1 Section 13 VA State Constitution : "...that standing armies, in time of peace, should be avoided as dangerous to liberty; and that in all cases the military should be under strict subordination to, and governed by, the civil power." You know nothing of our Founders. Go back to Europe.

@@freedomordeath4597 all federal police are Unconstitutional: Article 1 Section 8 "Congress shall have the right to call upon the MILITIA to enforce the laws of the union and repel invasions." I'm literally the only person in America who actively reads the Constitution.

The native Americans were not peacefull treehuggers, i'd rather be conquered by a people that abolish slavery rather then like the Mayas human sacrifice of conquered peoples, prisoners etc.

@mr.brenman2132Күн бұрын
@@rodmotor They got a better deal then most conquered peoples get. They lost 400 years of wars. They did their own conquests and wiped out entire tribes that we don't even have the names of.
