Wow! First thing I thought was that you'd have to remove a section of the bridge railing to free that thing. If not that, then have to dismantle some of the machine to free it up. But instead you got it out in half an hour or so. No damage to bridge or equipment or people and before the school bus came! You never fail to amaze me! Likely a hired help or the farmers son or grandson a experienced farmer would know the load was to wide for the bridge..a costly mistake feel bad for this hefty bill this farmer as to pay..

I don’t know why I am so interested in this kind of thing. I am a 59 year old lady who watches a lot of Classic Rock and Country music video’s. Also Boon Docking possibilities. I find myself spending hours watching the rescue of damaged and stuck equipment! LOL! Maybe it’s my pipeline days up on the North Slope. That was interesting watching the Boom Operator move 40 ft. Pipe around to be welded on. My Dad was Railroad for 42 years. GO figure! I bet the farm boys down at the coffee shop had a good chat about this incident. Love your video’s!

Excellent video, and great job by you and Talon. I used to escort my Husband as he took farm equipment using a Farm Tractor to different fields that a friend of ours owned. We never drove across a bridge too narrow for the equipment to go over, only when he was helping another friend of ours, did he run into a similar situation. ( He did get the equipment across the bridge though.) God Bless You.

As a heavy-haul contractor before retirement, (Up to 13 axles and 50 wheels) narrow bridges or bridges with high borders are a reaility we all face. We usually carried a dozen 3" thick 16' long oak planks on our service vehicles for moves on secondary road systems. Those allowed us to plank the bridge and with planks down and the RGN removable Gooseneck trailer raised to the top, we could usually get by. House movers have the same problem and use the same strategy altho they usually carry more planking. Farm equipment doesn't weigh very much but it has weird dimensions (like combines which are very wide and tall). The roller drums often have fluid in the drums and if weight was a consideration, draining them would help. The farmer could have saved quite a bit of $$ by hiring a small oversize contractor or putting the implement sideways on a farm trailer. Nice recovery, cop didn't seem willing to get out in the wind.

that's one thing I've learned about 3 pt hitches from my time working on a farm, they can really finicky when trying to unhooking from a plow. Good job on the recovery. We had an incident right next to our farm where a pickup ran into the back of a cotton module builder, from what we heard the truck driver went to pass another piece of farm equipment and ran right into the back of the builder, not entirely sure how that's just what we heard I was down the road a couple miles so didn't see it happen. Wrecked the truck and builder but the truck driver was ok at the end of it all and was walking around when we went to check on what happened.

Nice vid and a very good job. That was a very odd piece of equipment. Some kind of chisel plow and fertilizer injector, with a roller behind? Looked like the bridge was just wide enough to accommodate it if it was raised all the way up. Broken quik-hitch made that a no-go, I guess. Messy, and expensive. Again, nice job. Have a good day. Here in eastern Md, The weather wizards blew it again [Feb.1'] "light snow" Started about 0700, still snowing at 2100=/-. Not a lot, about 1", but the roads are a mess, no plows un til after 1500. Another fantastic recovery of something that has gotten stuck over water and near power lines.. again. lol At least you weren't fishing it out of the brook or hunting in the woods for it. What a hard time keeping things from swinging when the wind is blowing that hard. We have bad wind here too, and it's making the snow blow around really bad. Another successful pick! One thought: With all the new gear you're using with the 'tator, it looks like you're running out of storage space. in the future, you may need a 'support van' just for the Rotator...... This episode reminds me of time I was driving a 28' U-Haul truck on a levee road near Stockton, CA. I was scraping a narrow levee road bridge on both sides!
