Fancy stole the scene with his reaction of being stunned, trying to collect himself and process and then giving her her immediate due process all at the same time. He was brilliant in this role.

James McDaniel didn't get as much screen time as the rest of the cast as his character was of course mostly confined to the office. But he makes Fancy into the still centre of the storm, the anchor of the 15th Squad and source from which they all draw their strength.

As compelling as this storyline was, I am glad the show moved away from such a defining emphasis around intrasquad scandals and the mob focus. Caruso leaving allowing the ensemble cast emerge with Franz as the lead is probably the reason it became among the best of all time.

I've done that too when watching other Shows and their "Openings! Was crazy with ER because they seemed to keep interchanging many of the leads and supporting characters through the years! My favorite one in this Series is the very first time we see James in the opening credits, and I keep thinking to myself, "He is such a youngster"😀!

I hated this storyline, she should have just kept her mouth shut and let the other scumbag take the fall, and she had already taken care of the other 2 scumbags that would have eventually been killed anyway. She did the city of New York a favor.
