This draft strikes me as a great one to trade back from 1.03 to like 1.06 or 1.07 for proven vets, future picks, etc. Or using that capital to buy this class of RBs that gets the best real NFL landing spot. I think there's a real argument to be made that even in SF if one of these guys like Hampton or Kaleb goes to LAC (as an example) he's in the discussion at 1.02/1.03. Every draft is a landing spot specific draft to some degree, but this year with the amount of interesting RB prospects you've got guys who could be smash plays as rookies right out of the gate on a bunch of teams.

I agree 100% in a 1.75 tep I traded back from the 1:02 to 1:06 and got Trey McBride and gave up Hock. The guy wanted shedur and I already have picks 4 and 5. Seems like a weaker class to me tbh so down tiering is smart

@@trent1022 Might sound crazy too, but if someone was willing to give up a late first and Nix/Penix/McCarthy I think I'd also move down way later in the draft. Like 1.02 to the 1.08 or later as an example. Obviously Nix has shown he can ball and seems like he's going to be in a really great system for him for the next few years. And I think Darnold is showing the league that the offensive system in Minnesota is just wildly productive for almost anyone to step in and be successful. The Vikings may franchise tag Darnold though so that's an interesting wrinkle. With how bad Kirk has looked it also seems reasonable for Pennix to be in play for the starting spot as early as the start of next season. But yes - totally agree that this years QB class is just not worth getting hyped about until they've proven something. There's value to be had from your league mates getting excited about these picks.

I agree 100%. The problem is trying to find someone who wants to move up, because after 1.01/1.02, no one really worth trading up for. I mean if you want to trade 1.03 for 1.06 + a 3rd, maybe you find someone, but no one will pay what they would have paid in 2024 to move up from 1.06 to 1.03.

@ yeah right now that’s certainly an issue. But it’ll change during draft season and especially after the actual NFL draft. But I think the general strategy is sound this year. But also there’s a ton that’ll change here in the next few months as well, obviously.

@@macdaddy111only idiots payed to move up from 1.06 to 1.03 in 2024..in SF or Non SF…Daniela and Maye were just as good as Caleb, plus you had Nix and Pennix to fall back on…and then in non SF, Brian Thomas Jr and Bowers is just as good as the big 3 with Marv, Odunze and Nabers

Man this comment section is wild . Happens every year . Guys talk about how this class isn’t good then depress the market so badly that you can acquire firsts so cheap and leave your rookie draft with a haul. Everyone hated last years draft class . I came away with nabors , maye, Ladd , btj , odunze , and bowers. Was one pick away from also getting Bo nix . No one ever can see every bust or superstar . The moral of this story is just never devalue a firsts value when people say it’s low buy the dip and take some shots .

really? i thought everyone loved the wr class last year. i sure did but couldnt get them in my dynasty formats. i was stuck with jalyn polk and jalen mcmillan, but i did get brock bowers and jayden daniels.

@@nickguitarfreak17 every dynasty expert told us to go ahead and trade for 2025 class picks because 2024 wasn’t going to be good. We heard that all the way up until the very end of last college season . Then the combine hit and a couple people said it was an ok class but after 1.07 there were no difference makers . I got 1sts for 2nds . I got firsts for bench players and 3rds . I stacked so many firsts for barely any real capitol at all. I got 2 firsts and Drake London for Sam Laporta . One of those firsts turned into bowers . Could just be my own experience and my own league but I listen to a lot of pods and there was a resounding message during 2023 to get out of the 2024 class.

i dont care about power 5 school. 100 receptions and 1300 yards for a te anywhere is bonkers. also i love elic ayomanor. he was unfortunately on a terrible stanford team yet still managed to make ridiculous plays and post strong numbers especially in that game against syracuse earlier this year.

you dont need a qb if you can keep goff and tua for a while. trade down or take someone like tet, hunter, egbuka, omarion, or kaleb.

I’m in a 12 man superflex league going through a rebuild/retool, I have Hurts, Herbert, James Cook, Kenneth Walker, Puka, Jayden Reed, and Laporta as my main players, I also have the 1.05, 1.07/8, 2.01, and 2.06. Should I trade cook and Walker for recivers and draft running backs or should I just take best available in the draft? Open to any ideas too

depends what kind of value you can get for them but i wouldnt really be trying to sell them. walker is at a buy low right now so i dont expect much value and cook is decently high and could be a good sell or just hold. i think with all the picks you have there, you are better off just drafting bpa.

I’m in a superflex QB: Darnold, McCarthy, Tua, Richardson, Fields, Malik RB: James Cook, Brian Robinson, Warren, Vidal WR: Shaheed, Addison, Legette, Downs, Worthy, Losivas M Wilson Polk TE: Kraft, Hockenson, Sinnot, I’ve got the 1, 3 and 5 in this upcoming draft. I was think about grabbing Jeanty with 1 and then either Tet or Burden 3rd. With the 5th i was gonna grab another wr or best available. What ya think?

Tet is likely going at the 1.02. I love Jeanty but might be worth considering a trade from 1.01 to 1.02 so you can take Tet (arguably as good of a prospect as Jeanty, but without the hype). See if you can get another high potential WR or RB along with the swap. Definitely depends who’s picking at 1.02 but if they are in need of RBs and/or really like Jeanty you could get a nice haul to just trade down to 1.02. If Tet falls to you at 1.03 that’s a smash grab, but I’d be surprised if he drops to the 1.03 tbh. Especially considering he’s likely going to be drafted very early in the NFL draft.
