Hey @RonStewart_ love the channel! Like every video and have been subscribed for over a year now. I’d love some help in my 16 team PPR keeper league. I’m keeping B. Hall in the 3rd round. I get to keep one more player and it’s either Bijan in the 1st (13th pick overall) or Kincaid in the 9th. Also, 1RB, 2WR, 2Flex and 1TE. Is the starting lineup. Love the idea of having both RBs smashing this year, but if I keep Kincaid it frees up a 1st round pick. And then I would be able to do a hero RB build and load up on WR and elite QB. I prefer a mix of Hero RB depending on the board. I have a team with Amon Ra/Achane/Kupp/DeVonta Smith/Kenneth Walker, drafted in that order rounds 1-5. You can get an elite QB in rounds 7-9 like Kyler/Jordan Love/Dak/Jayden Daniels.

Hey Ron. Won my home league Championship last night using this strategy. It’s a 1 keeper .5 PPR 2 Flex spot league. Lamb was my keeper in 1st round, then went Achane and Lamar. I did zero RB last year and I made the playoffs. I had Pacheco and Monty who I drafted around rounds 8-10ish. I made the playoffs but I did pull off some blockbuster trades to get me there.

like in your last video covering running back strategy, id draft 2 running backs in the 1st 3 rounds then nothing but receivers until round 10 ish. i get the idea of utilizing that wr upside even earlier but the lack of running backs that on average make it through the season just makes it too risky to only have 1 rb1, this single rb strategy will get beat more times that not by teams with two rd1-2 rb’s bc they’re so many recievers that are valuable especially in the 4-5 that they can be confident wr starters

I'm sorry man but not a chance I'm passing on double hero RBs. I've gone RBs 1 and 2 consistently and am killing it from every position. Everybody chasing the top WRs let's me have my pick of double hero RBs and I still end up with Nabers, Pickens, Dell, any of the KC WRs, and Odunze while everybody else is scraping up lesser RBs. Depending on where I pick from I can almost always get a Gibbs/Williams or Hall/Barkley. Taylor/Pecheco. There's just enough elite RBs that if you snag two, everybody else will be scrambling for scraps while I'm still feasting on two top WRs or even Kelce or Hurts., then follow up RBs with Mostart, Z. White or Singletary. There's just too many great WRs to risk losing out on the much fewer great RBs.

I think this strategy works best for full PPR leagues, and in .5PPR leagues can actually hurt you. WRs inherently are much more inconsistent and having a stable floor when it comes to RBs can often win you leagues, especially in that .5PPR setting. As a matter of fact I have been playing for 10 years in a competitive money league (.5PPR) and nobody has won with Hero RB. Just my 2 cents, appreciate the content/research Ron

Ultimately it depends on value I.e. if another hero RB is available after first or second round, more likely than not I’m taking …. The WR room is much deeper this year, gap between elite RBs and others is 5/6 rounds worth of difference

One “dead zone” Rb I think is being overlooked and doesn’t fit that mold is David Montgomery. I think people are underestimating the amount of work he’ll get and he’s in for a top 10-12 Rb season. He obviously has crazy high contingent upside as well. That’s one of the few dead zone RB’s I’m willing to take with zero worries.

I don't disagree, but it is gonna be hard to take an RB at the three, as I know CMC will be gone. I expect my choice to be Hill, Lamb or Hall.
