Thanks for making a video about Wet & Forget! I would make sure that you apply to a dry surface on a cool dry day. Wetting the surface first with water is not recommended as it can ruin the application and lead to zero to little results.

@@dantasticdoingstuff6025 Wet and Forget takes months to get full results. But it has a protective quality so that the roof can have much less mold for years.

The directions say apply to a dry surface. They also say it could take months (6-12) for final results on established stains. I’m wondering if this effected your results negatively..?

It was working little by little on its own so it may have taken care of itself if, but I wouldn’t have waited that 12 months. Too much damage can happen in that time period and there may have been new areas of growth which would have defeated the purpose.

@@dantasticdoingstuff6025 Wet and Forget does work well but it takes a long time to work the first time. Then, it prevents mold and algae and moss for the next year.

The best stuff I used dawn liquid detergent Clorox and water it dose the job great

It says it is safe for all roofs, but I’ve heard diluted dish soap and a soft brush works great with rubber roofs. Maybe ask the manufacturer

I did a test on a friends roof I used wet and forget on a tile roof . I put the first application on February 2 application in March. Very slow process the weather was in the 60s. We are seeing results. Weather temperature does matter guys ! Wend applying the product, and if you see any thing turn black that good it’s starting to bloom, and the chemicals taking affect . The wet and forget cost me about $34.00 each. Here in California . 2023 Very expensive product Very expensive product. I would only do that if there if a awning attached to the house, other than that. I would your swimming pool chlorine from Home Depot 10% and gain laundry soap. Mix 60 water 40 chlorine add gain so it sticks to roof Do not add Dawn !!! ☠️ Out side temperatures everything I applied my solution our call day and I have been raining that week for best results. Try to do it what is 70°

So you saved $800 for you but if you took a brush and especially a power washer to it whoever bought it will cost them $8,000.

If you use a low psi and keep the nozzle at a distance it doesn’t destroy the shingles. Roof was inspected by roofer and house inspector. Always use caution when using a power washer on anything.

Forgetting happens when you’re working 6 days a week, remodeling a house, being a father and putting the video together over a month after it was filmed. But I do apologize for the mistake. I had no intentions partial information. My goal was to give people some helpful information.
