I have a similar leak in my 2018 27FB queen globetrotter. I've read quite a bit online about it, and for what it's worth it seems that the installation error you point out at 2:46 is very common. My leak occurs when it's raining super hard with a cross wind, or when we're towing in heavy rain (which also effectively creates sideways rain). The funnel is intended to direct sideways rain into the vent pipe and down into the tank. I'm not sure if Airstream just put that funnel thing directly on the pipe when installing (incorrect), or if they do push the funnel up into place before installing, but fail to use adhesive as recommended by Lippert (also wrong). Either way, airstream is or was not installing these vents correctly from the factory. I've also read a number of posts online about people taking their trailers to the dealer to fix this leak, and the dealer having no idea about this factory installation process error. It boggles the mind that google is somehow more effective than experienced airstream repair techs, but it seems some of them are too prideful to just google this stuff. I hate to vent (pun?) but the more I've upgraded and repaired our trailer, the more I realized how much of the purchase price of these airstreams is just the cost of aluminum and the labor to rivet everything together. I scratch my head often at the sloppy installation and assembly work from the factory, and the cheapness of the appliances and electronics. It's fun to upgrade, but frustrating when you pay well north of $100k for a trailer with careless assembly work.

Thanks for watching and we are glad that you found our channel. Hopefully the video was helpful and you have been able to repair the leak in your Airstream. It took months for us to locate the cause of our roof leak, but since our repair we have been leak free (knock on aluminum). Safe travels.

Thanks for a great video! What size (length) is your expanding ladder? Do you recall what brand it is, and are you happy with it?

Carlos, thanks for watching. The ladder is the Ohuhu 12.5 FT Aluminum Telescoping Ladder. I purchased it from Amazon and have used it frequently with no complaints. Hope this helps. Safe travels.

Craig, thanks for watching. The leak was coming into the trailer (27FB) near the AC vent and the exhaust fan in the bathroom. Hope this helps.

@@thewrightlife Thank you! We have a 2022 FC 25 FBT with a leak to the right of the bathroom exhaust fan. We are dropping it off for warranty work on Monday and your post definitely helps.

Craig…I originally thought the leak was coming from the exhaust fan and caulked around it. I then thought it was the Skylight and replaced both of them. Finally it checked bought holding tank vents and the rest is history. Best of luck and safe travels.
