I've gone through the whole "gotta have all the cool gear" to shedding a lot of the stuff I really don't need. almost a backpackers load out. going to a folding pan like yours was one of my favorite. packs easy, cleans easy. little to no maintenance. and, Congrats Mike!

I have been debating on whether to get a rooftop tent or "rough it with a ground tent" and I think I'm going to keep it old school and just do a nice ground tent since I only camp a handful of times each year :)

Roof top is for specific uses. I think a car camping tent suits more people and allows for using your vehicle and keeping your spot in place during day trips.

Beautiful scenery! Drone footage has taken this type of content to the next level. Lodge cast iron comes seasoned but if not properly cleaned it will come off. I don't season, I use a lot of butter.

Pretty cool setup. Even better view. Personally, I've always done the car camping setup. Used to have an old blazer that was just the right size. All you really need is room for a mat and a camping back/bin.
