The Roman Cancel has always been at the core of Guilty Gear, and now with Strive simply put the mechanic is the most complex and in-depth its ever been! This video will walk you through the basics of roman cancels, and then go more and more in depth with a lot of the applications. The advanced segment at the end is only the absolute tip of the iceberg! In time we will find even crazier things and impossibly savage setups! Timestamps placed for you to skip around in the video if you want as always.

Strive isn't that complicated compared to past titles imo. The game has a basic tutorial and a mission mode where you can essentially go through an in depth training guide with your character of choice. Just my experience playing GG1 and doing the basic missions was enough for the game to rank me as a 6th floor player (out of 10, basically putting me above half the playerbase after an hour of playing...somehow lol) If you can get it on sale someday its definitely newcomer friendly.

About Gold RC: Since it wasn't explained as much besides the psychological factors, which do play a big part but don't sound like much worth. Here's some credit to it: -You can use it right before your R. I. S. C. Gauge (pink gauge) is maxed, effectively saving you from way bigger dmg and Heavy Counter hit startups. -Some people use Burst on Block, well in this game you can do that instead and save for Burst for when you actually get hit / use Gold Burst -Naturally, you wanna reposition yourself, maybe you know your frame data and know you can counter hit them into a combo instead.
