A game like this where the neutral game can be thrown out the window in a split-second just makes how you defend in neutral much more important. Maybe the next video we can talk about the defensive mechanics and options that this game offers so people have a better chance at countering resets and the endless loops that DBFZ has. That would be cool to watch too because I feel that this game doesn't do a very good job of letting you know 😁.

Most people who don't believe in neutral are scrubs who are being caught by randomness. The good players of this game though are so hard to open up in neutral , they are so attentive to all that's happening

I feel like dbfz is what a fighting game should be, easy to pick up, hard to master, beginner friendly, nice to look at, Don't get me wrong it has its flaws but to me its a great game, one of the reasons for me is the homing dash its a love hate relationship.

I agree. Homing dash keeps the action going but the bad side is that it does hurt the neutral game. It's a give/take.

I still view DBFZ as a fighter that heavily favors a hyper-aggressive playstyle, but I still like trying to slow down, play neutral, and understand how that works. I used to think ki-blasts suck for neutral or zoning because of the dreaded homing dash, but then I learned all I had to do was adapt to it (oh, and Broly's Ki Blasts too). Once you bait that homing dash, either 2H, or a strong projectile, etc. Oddly enough, I like trying to learn how to handle neutral with characters with bad neutral in general such as Nappa. Nappa has a good 5H, but once people learn to respect it, he has to be really patient in order to overcome neutral, of course good neutral assists will help him with that as well! ^^

I probably will once I myself can land on a team I am happy with so I can use it as an example. I am playing a bunch of different teams right now like cooler/broly/tien, ginyu/broly/tien, dbs broly/broly/cooler and will probably land on even more. 16 still sadly kinda blehhhhhh right now and I ain't ever going back to SSJ goku now that I have been freed.

the same thing happened to me this game is preety overwhelming but you get used to it after a while and it becomes a lot of fun just gotta keep practicing, hell to this day i'm still have some trouble with it and i've been playing a while now (i thought i was the only one who got REALLY nervous while playing xD)

I think they need to slow down superdash a bit or at least make it minus on block, there's just too much to look for and there are certain assists which make it so that if you block superdash you've lost the neutral.

@@moey193 well if they are Gonna they should be really careful to not make superdash obsolete beacuse it's one of the Main mechanics of the Game i think it should be good and that thing You said about some assists making You blocking superdash losing neutral well You can counter with a guard cancel or an assist of your own or sparking there are measures to counter attack it so it's not like it's broken yeah it's conpletely agree it can be rough to defend against (sometimes) but it's not like a Game breaking thing like some people make it out to be

Maybe an old man term of mine. The concept of "buttons" is simply the moves you do when you hit light/medium/heavy etc. "big buttons" are just simply big moves. So say stuff like Cooler/Broly can do, whereas "small buttons" would be things like teen gohans moveset. Of course big characters can have "small buttons" and small characters can have "big buttons" as well, just all relative.

The problem I still have with neutral in DBFZ is that superdash is annoying as fuck. I like it as a combo tool and for punishing ki blast spam but it being neutral on block while also putting you in a situation that makes it hard to be punished depending on the characters is stupid. I still think they should be negative on block and have less pushback. Not punishable but you've given up your turn unless you commit to something risky or spend resources. Because you can't always react to a dumb, random superdash in 8 frames of delay.

honestly fighterz neutral game is pretty bad, random superdashes into full combos, almost no other anti-airs except 2H which some characters have really shitty 2H, raw tag..., so hard to zone people out because of super dash, random C assist now to give easy conversions. marvel 3 imo had a much better neutral game and was less frustrating

thing is as said in the video random superdashes are preety easy to spot if you know what you are doing sure some will hit you but that's beacuse superdash isn't obsolete same thing with raw tagging you just gotta learn your enemy's pattern and the whole point of zoning in this game is to call out that super dash frieza for example has many tools that eliminate super dash like the disks or the explotions and the ki blasts are there to make your oponent want to either vanish or super dash so you can get the easy 2h i can't argue marvel 3's is better beacuse i haven't played it myself i actually haven't had much experience with many fighters but i can't see dfbz's neutral being that bad :/

You can't call asssit while super jumping, and there isn't a super dash or raw tag to get free confirms , and the anti airs were actually better . And you can actually zone at least a little bit in marvel 3 if u needed to. For individual characters yah marvel 3 was unbalanced but in the neuttal game it was less frustrating. And marvel also sadly had better defense , push block was very helpful and chicken blocking helped a lot

This game has terrible God awful neutral if u think it has good neutral then u haven't played that many fighting games, even umvc3 or all the marvel games have much better neutral. Superdash is too extremely fast and leads to too many conversions and full combos. Plus the game has terrible anti airs, only 2H and 2H is sometimes too slow to react to superdash. Plus it goes through ki blasts. Superdash shouldn't go through ki blasts the game would play a lot better and take a lot more skill of supper dash didn't go through projectiles. It would actually make zoning somewhat viable. It's so annoying when you're trying to lame someone out with ki blasts all for the opponent to just superdash and then even if j block it to just call an assist to make it safe. And now with assist C which gives u a full combos anywhere on screen from a single bit the neutral game is trash now
