I don't take the argument of a game having a lack of character representation seriously after watching some SF3 tournaments. Now *that* is a game with serious balancing issues at the top level. Unless you really, really like Chun Li and Yun, then it's heaven. Balance in SF6 could be better sure, but it's not egregious. There's very little room for playing with "pet favorites" when a million dollars is up for grabs.

Talk about privilege, last year there were that many Luke's at Capcom Cup with Ken being runner up. But now with Luke gotten nerf(now slightly buff) he's not as opposing as he once were, can't say the same for Ken for he's always been Capcom's little nepotism baby since SF2.

One thing to remember is the lag after changes. It can take time to adjust to changes. It can take time to learn a new character after a player jumps ship. On top of that, unpopular characters are highly unlikely to get large numbers of players jumping to them unless they are buffed way past average into the top tiers. Which is to say, I think those bottom 4 characters are never going to be super popular, but they might have some representation eventually IF they get good.

It's so weird seeing Dee Jay in the same section as Manon, Kimberly, and Dhalsim. I guess it makes sense since so many Dee Jay players migrated to Ed but that doesn't mean it feels right. Also, it's still a little funny how Guile has been the Sleeper Best Character after every patch and he gets 1/3rd the representation as Ken who in the same tournament has roughly 1/5th representation of the entire bracket. There were also more Secondary Cammy's qualified than Total Guile's.

Idk if I agree with judging the characters not chosen as the “worst” on the tier list , cause you have to understand one of the reasons Ken is picked so much isn’t necessarily cause he’s so much better, but he’s been *consistently* good without being all that nerfed. So basically if you picked up Ken in the beginning you’re likely still playing him, but as for like Marisa, yes she’s better now but we’re talking well into the Capcom Cup and many already left her for Bison. To come back to her now wouldn’t make much sense and the same could be said for the others at the bottom.

I think its kinda sad that the Pro Tour is so top heavy in character line-ups (along side prize money), because I feel like it does feel a little boring to me. It kinda feels like the general "e-sportsfication" of Street Fighter players (weird way to say it but that's the only thing I can think of) has made it feel really boring to watch in many ways. I don't really keep up with any tournament stuff because not of the weird Pro Tour stuff, it just doesn't feel like people are in it to have fun anymore (which is fair when you're fighting for 1 mil). And even any if the smaller tournaments like CEO or Frosty I care more about the smaller titles because I can't find people playing those anywhere else. SF6 I can find tons of people playing, and even then I'm arguably more interested in watching the more mid to high-mid level players (especially with Sajam Slams). Sorry for the long comment and rant stuff, just figured I'd put my two sense into why stuff like this is happening

SO I guess I will skip that entirely. But, you know, thank god capcom is more worried about if grapplers do well. That and their dedication to not doing updates with any speed and not the right intensity of changes if they are going to be so slow. Kind of done with the company on this game.
