I am a licensed public adjuster in 4 states, 10 yrs experience. 1. We use Xactimate constantly and get PAID very well by insurance companies; we represent the homeowner/ business owner. 2. We see exactimate estimates by contractors weekly. MOST ARE MISSING LINE ITEMS INSURANCE COMPANY WILL PAY! ATTENTION Contractors ... this video will make you money. 3. Most contractors are afraid to ask for more money from insurance company. This is a HUGE MISTAKE. XM8 Mastery videos are AWESOME and Money Makers for the restoration and roofing industry.

Amen, Robert! Thanks for the feedback and I’m glad you dig the material!

Xactimate must have changed this recently because fascia metal now states in the info tab: "Pre-bent or bent on-site metal fascia" under quality.

If custom bent metal is damaged on the home then custom bent metal is written for by the adjuster. If the Home Depot special is on the home then that's what is written for. If the vinyl siding is damaged by hail and the homeowner decides he wants to brick his home the insurance adjuster is going to write for..... vinyl siding.

Hey! My husband and I just started our roofing company. I will be doing the supplementing, soo I am so overwhelmed and your videos are so informative! I did see your programs is there anything more on the affordable side with the list of supplement replacements?
@roofsalesmastery3 жыл бұрын
Hi Angelica, nice to hear from you! Happy to help. You could do just the supplement portion of the Advanced Sales & Supplement Program with the payment plan of $500 x 5 months. You would recoup your entire investment within the very first supplement, guaranteed. If that works for you, enroll here --> roofsalesmastery.com/supplementorder/

It is all about what is damaged on the home! If the fascia is not custom bent and just standard grade then you are getting standard grade fascia!

Correy Adkins that is correct! But it almost never is “standard fascia.” :)

A Random question, overhead and profit, what is the insurance companies overhead and profit? I mean I can't afford the advertising they can?
@roofsalesmastery4 жыл бұрын
I don't understand your question.
@danielswezey22784 жыл бұрын
@@roofsalesmastery I didn't phrase it well. Insurance companies base O and P percentage on a number they pick out of the sky I gather. Not based on their own overhead and profits they get. I'm guessing it's more than 10 or 15 percent in order to afford their advertising campaign costs. Love your vids!
@roofsalesmastery4 жыл бұрын
O&P is to factor in 10% for both overhead costs and a profit margin that are not directly related to materials and labor as it pertains to jobs handled by general contractors who hire/coordinate trade-specific subcontractors to perform work. We aren't talking about the insurance companies factoring their own "O&P." Their profit margins are dictated by the egregious amount of money they collect in premiums vs. the much smaller amount they pay out in claims, and then of course their own expenses for employee pay, expenses, advertising, etc. Just like any business. Glad you like my stuff! Thanks for watching.

It's absolutely ridiculous that essential components of a roof replacement have to be supplements
@insuranceclaimspractitione22905 жыл бұрын
yakitoriPB FYI - IF YOU'RE USING XACTIMATE: This FAQ post from Xactware shows that every single component of a system, e.g., roofing, needs to be included (as separate line items) or you will get an inaccurate measure of the insured's loss. Insurance Claims Practitioner 'beefing up' an estimate, nor am I throwing spaghetti against the wall and seeing what sticks. Contractors, PA, appraisers should never include anything that's not legitimate and reasonable. drive.google.com/file/d/1sSbDVgpfQ4ScEbSLtDy-7ysYjozNusJh/view?usp=drivesdk

One big problem we are having her is that insurance is paying WAY to low. the are paying 40 a sq to remove and dispose and 162 to install architect shingles. with having to pay workman's comp there is almost nothing left for profit and if we do it for that price company will lose money.

I’ve been saying this for years. Insurance should reimburse for our Workmanscomp certificate also recommend the contractors in the area who carry it. We can’t complete with the low wages insurance is paying. Try doing a Chubb claim you’ll be happy you did!

Change demo line item. It will default to DMO - change it to RFG and you should get a $94+ in midwest and over $100 in western states on the line item. You will also want to see other items that are default DMO. plus, are you adding the dumpster? Many like this. The jobs are good if you are putting in the right codes and supplements. Take a look on your next job or PM me if you need some extras.

Can someone tell me how to supplement lol. Like is it an email, a report, and estimate? Like literally what is a supplement. I know what I can supplement for but what is a supplement? Do I have to use xactimate?
@roofsalesmastery3 жыл бұрын
Hi friend, watch these videos: kzbin.info/door/527Ouq646dpjdYApSon1Hgsearch?query=supplement A supplement is a revised estimate built in Xactimate and negotiated with the adjusters to add more money to the claim due to missing items such as materials and labor. Also check out this page --> roofsalesmastery.com/supplementing-xactimate-guide/

Your math was off a tad. If they have $1 Billion in hail claims per year and could shave off 1% they would save $10 million, not $100 million. They would need to shave off 10% on $1 Billion to save $100 million. But this is how the CEO of State Farm made a $20 million bonus in 2020 on top of his $1.5 million salary. Think about that. In 2020 most businesses were shut down and half the country was on lock down staying home and the CEO of State Farm made a $20 million bonus for that year. Think of how much they shaved off all their claims that year alone for the CEO to make a $20 million bonus!

@@roofsalesmastery I’m averaging around 800sq (single layer, Connecticut colonial) give or take. These figures Rarely include overhead and profit. When adjusters try to deny things like (chimney flashing...”it wasn’t damaged they say”) I get the building DEPT involved... won’t sign off on the roof. My estimates include COVID precautions for interior work, labor minimums. Ect ect. I’m not inferring I know everything but I would guess I’m in a different class then most. If you are stating I am still leaving money on the table.... Then you have my full attention and would gladly purchase your informational seminar. Explain to me how in any way supplementing claims to add missing, legitimate items using insurance pricing software is ANY type of insurance fraud, Tanner. Sounds like you need to do some studying.
@meyer097able5 жыл бұрын
It's 100% fraud .... On the insurances side .. And nothing she said it's honest ,we have a saying in the business... " If it there, it's there " meaning if the damage is legit and justifyable and we can see it then I can claim it and they can approve it and where not trying to get something that's questionable or shady cover . Also she's 100% right on what the bottom line is for Ins.comp. for example on almost every roofing job insurance companies arent even paying out code for ice & water I'm getting shorted on every job and there just hopping we don't notice. That's not shady to u? imagine if your a contractor and your dishing out material there supposed to reimburse you for and they purposely short you 5-700 bucks?
@haydencook6825 жыл бұрын
Maybe you mean the insurance is committing fraud? Cause no, I write about a million in supplements for contractors every month and I've never been arrested or threatened
