Part 7: • Rooga on Kanye Having ...
Part 9: • Rooga & Vlad Go Back &...
--------
Rooga discussed the situation in Chicago stating that while crime rates and violence continue to be issues, many artists from the city are now promoting peace. Vlad brought up the influence of social media in starting and escalating tensions between rival hip-hop artists in Chicago and other places like Jacksonville. They also touched on the dangers artists face, citing Foolio's multiple shootings in Florida. Rooga commented that many follow Chicago's lead but often pick up the negative aspects. Both agreed on the seriousness of the situation, especially since a lot of the victims are minors. Despite the heavy subject matter, Rooga suggested focusing on happier topics as the struggles they face are already well-known.

People think because the genre of drill rap has finally died down and come to a stop that the violence in the street ends...drill rap was fueled by real hatred between real people that that had their lives turned into entertainment that seemed to co sign the violence...of course the streets haven't changed. The reason the rappers are changing is because they made it out long enough to see what its like to make money without having to look over your shoulder and take care of their families while being the street they're getting money without having to push beef and talk about death they're happier they're maturing and getting older and they're starting to see the bigger picture and live it....i'm really proud to even some of these guys making peace with one another. A lot of the young black men killed in chicago could've had a chance at seeing the same type of life these guys are now but they didn't make it....
