In this clip, Chicago legend Twista goes in depth on a number of topics. He talks about the history of violence in Chicago going back to his generation and how that compares to today and "Chiraq." Twista believes that violence hasn't spiked so much as our exposure to it based on social media. He was candid about his personal exposure to Chicago's violent side and spoke about bodyguards in particular that have lost their lives while working security for the Chi-town MC. Later on Twista and DJ Vlad chop it up on the current state of hip-hop and how Chief Keef was the paradigm shift for this generation of rappers and the overall evolution of the genre. DJ Vlad posed a question to Twista about what he would do to fix Chicago if he had a billion dollars to which Twista answered "I would definitely try to create jobs."

Chicago was worst back then, and more dangerous, because it was organized crime, think about 53rd and State Robert Taylors and Cabrini Greens and Stateway Gardens and Dearborn projects, etc. most of the projects got knocked down and very few got renovated, the feds stopped the organized gangs and gave them life in jail, and many got slain, I grew up in the 80s, 90s, and early 2000's and many of my friends got murdered. And there was no social media and news cameras was scared to arrive because folks was busting bullets at the cops. Now it's just dumb because the board members of the gangs are locked up or dead and its less guidance! So it's worse in the sense of being organized with leaders keeping things in check and in order, in that order. These youngsters don't have OG's teaching them and mentoring them like it was when I was growing up. Shout out to 50th and saint Lawrence and 47th and Michigan and the Rosenwalds, shout out to chicago as a whole! Peace!
