Guys, plenty of y’all have stated that “I could have pinched off the discharge line”. Yes I know that. But I will not do anything without an approval. This customer always finds away to not pay the bill so I will not do anything that will put the company at risk or I will not do anything without an actual approval. That’s the reason why I left it as it was. It’s been like that for who knows how long. So???🤷♂️

You obviously have no experience with brokers or national account customers otherwise you would know they are assholes who think they are doing you a favor by allowing you to work on their shit. A NTE that is eat up with travel time by the time you arrive, check in lines, check out lines, take and email photos of this, submit that, then wait around to see if we approve what you say the problem is. I’m not the one with the attitude son, they are. I don’t jump through hoops for anyone. Almost 30 years in the field bud. More than likely Ive forgotten more than you currently know.

I had a manufacturer tell me that a condensing unit we installed did not have a headmaster because the electronic expansion valve would properly feed the evaporator at any pressure. It worked great until the temperature dropped. They refused to pay us to add one. I just threw a fan cycle switch on it and it worked decent.

For the New Guys Out there --- ( Ftngot ) Each of Those Moh030's Will remove about 24,000 Btu's at a Plus 20 Suction on a 90 degree day. more on a cooler day and night. That cooler looks to be only about 22 feet long. So, One of those units will Do the JOb Probably on any Day cooler than 90 degree's. i Thought i did Over Kill ( LOL ) when i size a Little Heavy This is Where u Get into Trouble When u Oversize By Double without a Plan in Mind / setup and control properly. Excessive cycling could be a major problem here at Night & it looks like it is so by the signs of those contactors. Definately Need Short cycle Protection of some kind --- Be it a 5 Minute time delay on the contactors or Keep one Condensing unit off at Night or on a Temperature control so that if the ambient drops below 70 degree's that unit stays off. ( second or third idea is Best )

Yeah, as techs we go in after someone else's "screw up" and immediately put the blame on the last guy. Truth is, the client putting something like an NTE and good old "can't you just make it run now!?" Is partly to blame as well.
