Sleepy Sundays are typical for Germany: Originally shops and businesses etc. were closed on Sundays so that people could go to church and spend time with family. Although most Germans aren't religious anymore, almost all shops and businesses remain closed on Sundays to this day throughout the country (except for bakeries, cafés, restaurants, gas stations etc.). People sleep in, spend time with friends and family, go on outings, do housework, sports, spend time on hobbies etc. It allows for bit of a different pace; lovely!

It was the same in the UK, until about 20 years ago, also pubs and bars had reduced opening hours. Now can open shops for 6 hours on a Sunday, usually 10:30 - 4:30. It was for the same reason. small shops and petrol stations are still open, Many 24-hour shops also close part from petrol stations. I don't mind it, it makes you stop and have a break for once in a week.

Honestly, this is the best footballing "show" on any platform.... a perfect blend of footballing greats and various forms of humour, wit, sarcasm, smut and story-telling.
