All these comments about quoting Einstein are people trying to be clever or copying other clever comments. Real cleverness is realizing he already found a way to get young, hence his knowledge of Einstein, also there's a nod to the lights going on and off as the film starts, meaning he's already used the machine, but it must take his memories, which is why he's having a hard time remembering his own name...and that he's already time traveled and found a way to become younger, but is stuck in a time loop until the woman tweaks it and the lights come back on. Well done filmmakers and everyone involved!! Fantastic. (A good time travel movie confuses the masses, makes the smart feel clever, and the clever look for deeper shit that might not even be intended.) A+

I found your film to be very entertaining. The humor and irony you had in the film was great. Going along with the theme of the movie, I can imagine a future where time travel is as common as going into a travel agency and booking passage on a cruise ship. One could imagine that one of the more common destinations would be to "visit" the inventor of time travel. So, The poor soul in room 88 inadvertently turned himself in to a tourist attraction. One of the best parts was when he looked through the peephole and said "They're forming a line out there." You can be assured that your money was well spent. In my opinion.

I think interactive time travel would screw up history. Or. Once time travel is invented...it was always possible. History will become fluid. Early humans will see modern humans, mimic and develop earlier. Ancient Egypt could be an industrial nation. Flight discovered sooner. Time travel discovered sooner. Round and round it will go. Eventually time will mean nothing and Einstein's hypothesis will prove true. Everything will happen at once.

I do love short stories. Issac Asimov said a well crafted short story was a thing to behold, and quite a few books were really short stories with an extra hundred pages of filler tossed in. Elron Hubbard said short stories were the bread and butter of early science fiction, though he found it quite easy to take a good short story and elaborate it into about a thousand pages or so, and quite lucrative to do so! I hope time travel is impossible, it's bad enuff to put up with re runs on t.v.,never mind our daily lives turning into repeats too!

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. The line at the end suggests he's going to use Mr Deborgorski as a lab rat to see if he can make him young again. The scientist is ultimately trying to buy himself more time

Mike Booth Yes. Also, great casting for Tesla ...a real look alike!

I thought that mean send him back in time when he was young, just get rid of him.

David Klein, I though the same thing. Tesla was the first thing I though when I saw the man.

Tesla wouldn’t live in room 88 though… if you know you know

I particularly like the length of the film

Tesla lived in rooms that had there numbers as a combination of 369, so 88 is not convincing.

Thanks for watching and commenting. The main character doesn't identify as Tesla and is credited only as The Scientist. Not everything is as it seems...

@@MikeBoothFilm Yeah, having worked on a few budget films, none near as good as this, there is so much good here. Editing is so solid, colour grading is lovely, love the camera work the performances are absolutely solid, story is engaging. Just brilliant.

Thanks again! Great to hear the opinion of fellow film-makers who appreciate the struggles of low budget productions.

@@MikeBoothFilm Ah, I'm only a sound monkey. Wouldn't aspire to the lofty heights of calling myself film maker! 😁The vox replacement is spot on too, BTW. Not entirely sure I coulda done that and the Foley any better...

I'm pretty sure all the dialogue was recorded live if I remember right, but had a lot of fun creating sounds for the time machine. Took me a while to work out the right noise for it. I ended up sticking a telephone pickup coil to one of those powerball wrist-exercisers to get the sound of it starting up.

Tesla was born in 1856, and the oldest record of quote "The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once." is from 1921, so he must be 65+ years old, he already mastered time !) especially if you take in to consideration his words "Einstein once said", which means that it is an old quote for him)

I never said that that was Einstein quote, I said that the first record of it was from 1921 ....
