This is just brilliant fantastic ! Judging from the setting, one would expect a lame western situation with all ingredients involved - exept for one : the unexpected voice over that can be heard by all the protagonists. What an angle ! Imagine that in real life... And all of the actors are formidastic ! The gunfighter actually made me thing of Chirstian Bale for a moment there and the rest of the actors would not be misplaced in a Hollywood blockbuster as a major character. If you're in for the genre, this really is the best short movie out there right now.

+ps34evah Thank you for the compliment ! Just a small, but polite question : did you use Google translate by any chance ? Just curious to know... If you did not use Google translate, you are nothing less than a linguistic master, something I admire enourmously (this is NOT sarcasm)...
@Vanedis8 жыл бұрын
*Ahem* Well good sir, first and foremost thank thee for thy compliment! I must admit that I did not use google to translate the word, merely to make sure that I spelled it correctly. It was what I felt when I read your comment. By any chance, do you happen to be a native of Belgium or The Netherlands? I assumed your first language to be Dutch by going off your username.
@kareldebontridder48298 жыл бұрын
ps34evah Indeed, my dear friend, I am born and raised in the northern part of Belgium, also known as the Flanders area. My official family tree is documented as from 1743 (they even wrote a book about it, imagine that !). As for the explanation of the name : "bont" = fur and "ridder" = knight or merchand. So my ansisters were fur traders, as where my father and grandfather were cattle merchands which was a very famous profession in the village I come from. So, you assumed correctly...
@Vanedis8 жыл бұрын
Karel De Bontridder Nice! I wish I knew as much about my family history, though I might have Spanish roots given that my surname implies we came from Toledo. And how are you doing neighbor of the South! My country of origin is the Netherlands, so I was not trying to translate, but merely wrote in my native tongue.

Brilliant! That's some funny stuff right there!! I'd rather watch 1,000 movies like these than ONE new movie made in Hollywood. Hollywood writers should take note of these great shorts instead of RE-making old movies with new actors/actresses!

Hollywood nowadays is shit. 9 out of 10 movies are remakes and same old stories. I agree with your comment.

Have watched this video half a dozen times the past two days and agree with all on how very good it is. Most impressive after multiple viewings is there's not a single frame that feels unnecessary. The editing, as well as the acting & direction is superb. I particularly enjoyed the looks of frustration as the characters try to prevent the voice revealing their inmost secrets. The sublime nuance & timing of the expressions is rare and magical. Well done! May we hope for more and similar work?
