It’s completely okay to move back home! Like your exemple pf video games, home is your headquarter. You can always go back to rest and plan before your next big adventure. ❤️

Moving back home is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of. We all have obstacles in life. While moving back home in your mid-20s is a setback, it shows that you still have people out there supporting and rooting for you and that you're realistic and calculated in your decision-making. All these factors ensure that you'll eventually take two steps forward. I remember dropping out of university in my freshman year and moving back home. I thought my life was over, but with some help from my parents and friends, I was able to re-evaluate my life plans and goals and eventually figure things out.

well said !! it’s just a time to reset and figure out the next steps :))

Nothing wrong with moving back home if you have a good relationship with your parents and they have the space. You can take the time to figure things out whilst saving up some money. :) and its nice you can let loose on your room and create your own space free from rental restrictions!

There is absolutely no shame in moving back in with your parents or family, especially at 23. I did the same when I graduated college. Eventually moved out of state with my partner, and after a couple of years, moved back home again. Now at 32 I own my own house by myself. I feel incredibly privileged to get this far and am glad I worked hard to get here and had some support from my parents that allowed me to save enough money to do this. If that is what you want, you will have your own place eventually. In the meantime, enjoy the ride :)

thank you so much for sharing your story! it’s super encouraging to hear how things worked out for you :) and it’s awesome that you’ve made it to owning your own place! 😊🚀

TIP: If you are going to paint again with the same colour you can cover your brushes, rollers and trays with plastic food wrap so it does not dry out and simply continue where you left of the next day. When you are ready to rinse out the paint fill the tray with warm water and soak your brushes and rollers in the tray for several hours and then rinse thoroughly with warm water.

ill be 40 next year and have been renting from my parents off and on for 10+ years. i became disabled in my late 20s and my parents are getting older and need help as well. i do pay rent and all my own bills and its hard being someone my age 'living at home'. but we're helping each other and im technically a renter, so its not so bad. theres no shame in having to move back home, especially with how the economy is (here in the US anyway) and when youre trying to find your way. be happy you have parents who support you and can let you take the time you need to get things figured out!

I did it at 33 and it was the best decision I ever made. They love me and love having me in their home, and I love spending time with them. It's a privilege to be able to do so, many don't have parents or the relationship to be able to make this decision. I'm currently a lot older than you and also trying to figure out my next step in life

im proud of you! things dont go the way we plan sometimes but its still important to be honest and compassionate with yourself like how you are. I look up to you to remind myself to not be so hard on myself. cause its a ridiculous idea that everyone's big steps and changes in life will happen all at the same time right?

Wow, it's like night and day, such a difference! I love the white, it looks amazing! 😯👌🏼 And haha I totally get you on the primer that happened to me once too it happens to the best of us! 😅 Also, there's absolutely no problem living with your parents right now, so don’t think for a second that you're backtracking. You’re still very young, and as a recent CS graduate, you're already ahead of the race. The majority of people in your age bracket have no sense of direction and are just throwing away their 20s on clubbing, partying, drinking, etc. So keep doing you, work hard, and save the partying for later. Take advantage of living with your parents for now I remember taking that for granted, and when I moved out, I really missed those perks like spending time with my parents, relaxing, cooking together, and helping out with bills. It was such a simpler time, and now, with the cost of living being ridiculous, consider yourself lucky. Just enjoy it, go with the flow, and don’t overthink it you’re doing great, Sarah Oh, and if you’re looking for a solid standing desk, I highly recommend getting a uplift desk. I bought one recently, and yeah, it’s a bit pricey, but so worth it top quality. And for a good chair, I’d suggest the herman miller aeron. Trust me, these are two essential things you’ll need if you ever land a remote or hybrid job in tech worth the investment! 👍🏼

There is nothing wrong living with your parents sometimes it is like that especially the economy we all live in. Or even sometimes ppl live with their parents cause they're not well or sick or what have you but nothing wrong with it. You got to do what you got to do at the end of the day to keep surviving and thriving.
