It's actually really nice to see how happy she is, she's working hard and working on her dreams, she may not have money but she's content with what she has which is wonderful. I'll also add she's very brave, not sure if this is the right word but I'm pretty sure there's plenty of people who want to be an actor, singer or someone going into the entertainment industry but aren't brave enough since for finance wise it's safer or easier just having an office job or something. I hope she gets more popular and be able to make more money. when she started talking about the things in her fridge or that caramel for some reason that gave me some anime vibe lol.

Wow! I love her perspective in life and how she is working hard to gain her dreams. Everyone has some type of sacrifice they had to make to make it work and Ayano made those as well and she seems to be doing fine. On the other hand 210 square feet for an Apartment may sound super small to people in the West but for a small country like Japan is quite normal. As a newcomer to minimalism, 210 square feet is just enough to make it work. Although I am not sure if $590/month is justifiable for such a small space but this is Tokyo and things in Tokyo is certainly expensive. She may not look stressed, but you can be sure she is. I make slightly more than her as an ALT and even though you'd never know it from looking at me, I have above average stress. Staying positive about things and trying to find the good in a situation doesn't always cut it. She's also 29 with no savings. That alone would have stressed me to no end.

i know lots of foreigners may think she has a lot of stuff (which is true), but to each their own! this is actually really common in japan ,, i was raised there & most of my peers (and my ママ) all collected lots of goods of the same character . it’s definitely part of fan culture. this leads to a handful of japanese people having slight hoarder tendencies i noticed lol (myself included)

To defrost your refrigerator and clean it properly you have to turn it off / unplugged it from the electrical socket and wait for the ice to slowly melt then start cleaning it with either soapy clean rug or baking soda/ vinegar solution. 😂✌️Cute room but too many things.

The interesting thing is that Otaku can mean a wide variety of things. There's even train otaku. :D I lived in Shibamata, almost near the eastern edge of Tokyo. My room was pretty small and it was 48,000 base rent, not including utilities.
